This hotel is sweet and quaint both the dinner and breakfast were great. What I would say is that this town and hotel is very traditional, so do not expect luxury modern things. My roommate took a shower in the evening and had a hot shower, however I took one in the morning and it was freezing cold. The room... More

Pastry & candy amazing. Room very clean. Bed was the worst ever! In the middle of the night I actually thought seriously about sleeping in my car. Service by owner? Or attendant? Rude & dismissive. I don't speak German but politeness is understandable in any language. Was going to stay 2 nights but the thought of another night in that... More

We stayed at the Adler Hotel for one night as a stopover before heading to Amsterdam. I would say thank goodness it was just one night, but before I start with my list of things to improve for this hotel, let me put it in context: this is a small, family-run hotel that looks like it has been there for... I thought this was a cute little hotel in a quiet little town. The beds were comfy and we had good clean linen we could actually sleep in the bed, It was quiet I guess it must have been noisy at the bar. You could get a good shower and a comfy sleep. For a 1 night stay I wouldnt... More

I stayed at this hotel with a group for one night on our way to Poland on a coach holiday. It is a small family ran hotel. The owner speaks very good English and is friendly and has a love for music. The lobby is full of smoke where everyone sits around, smokes, and drinks. The bar is in the... More

We stayed at the Adler Hotel as an aniversary treat for my husband and I but would never return. The hotel: was dirty and smelled musty, the bathroom was dirty (human hair was covering the walls!), the food was disgusting and there wasn't any choice, staff seemed rather withdrawn, the lift worked rarely. Howver, the area was beautiful and we... More

We stayed here for a 2004 'New Year in the German valleys' tour with Travelscope & it was that bad that even the tour guide booked out & went to another hotel. Another guest made such a commotion about the state of his room he was immediately moved to a different hotel. My husband is disabled & we were assured... More

Our visit to Hotel Rheintal in Bad Salzig, Germany was part of an Anderson Coach tour for a two day visit. While the accomodations catered to groups looking for a cheap way to visit the Rhineland, the hotel enticed with its 3 hour open bar evenings. Although the rooms could use renovation and ventilation, the staff and owner did her... More
