This hotel is in one of Ruegen's prettiest seaside resorts. Ideally situated on a narrow bit of the island, the hotel has views of the sea on two sides. And even if you don't have a room with a view, the hotel's very own viewing tower is open to all and has amazing views. It's only open from 8am, so... More

Nice location and view. Very friendly staff- lobby and bar. House keeping- biggest disaster. While working - very loud, but rooms cleaned very badly, left dirty. Sound insolation between the rooms poor, if your neighbor is early bird, you'll be too.

Came across the most friendly service in this hotel. Recommend their sea view room- huge terrace, great view! Given most of the restaurants around are a bit tourist focused, we ate in the hotel restaurant for dinner and it turns out to be a most pleasure experience that we feel compelled to come back next time!

One thing that's perfect with this hotel is the view. Sunset from the room with an ocean view was great. Location is also nice, the hotel stands on a hill overlooking a small town. Communicating in english was a bit difficult in the hotel and in the village. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was nice and large. I... More

The location for this hotel was perfect. Nobody speaks English (or good English at least), all material, brochures and so on, are only available in German. TV in room was old-style big tv with tiny screen. Wifi was free but only available in reception, bummer. Spa area was good. Food was OK, but buffet wasn't refilled when things run out.... More

Firstly, this is not a B&B but a large hotel so not sure why it's listed as such. It is an impressive building high up in the town, but uses various buildings close by for apartment type rooms. Nice gardens with seating, and a pool etc. Our greeting at reception was a bit cursory, particularly given that we had struggled... More

We stayed for 2 nights in July 2011.(High season so highish prices) Hotel was close to the sight we came to Rugen for being Prora! The hotel itself does not look much from the outside however inside it has a nice period Art Deco feel and look to it. The room was excellent large well furnished and very clean. For one... More

We´ve spent a long weekend in the low season here and had a great time. Even if there was low season, the hotel was packed, probably due to the low-season-promotions. The high occupancy wasn´t a problem, though. Our room was spacious and tidy, the bathroom well equipped. We missed a fridge, though. It was probably built in the kitchenette, which... More

The Hotel Hanseatic Ruegen is a beautiful property. We had a very nice room with a small hidden kitchenette & floor to ceiling windows that opened to a sea view. The view was obstructed but, still nice. The room itself was very nicely furnished & comfortable. The restaurants were gorgeous with wonderful menus. The breakfast buffet had an enormous selection...
