This was a find on the internet – the only affordable place near Munich during Octoberfest! The owner/host was incredible friendly and attentive during breakfast and had a very good spread of food. We also ate dinner there and it was delicious. (There is perhaps nothing else in walking distance and so he could have a relatively “captive” audience and skimp on quality – but there was no skimping on quality.) Our room was wonderfully quiet as far as outside noise. The road the hotel is on seems to carry commuters to Munich morning and evening but quiets down otherwise. However, even during the busy times we couldn’t hear the traffic from our room. Our room and perhaps all rooms are in a building behind the building holding the reception and restaurant. The latter building helps shield and distance the rooms from the road.
