We stayed in the San Gabriele for two nights to celebrate our anniversary. We already knew Rosenheim quite well, and were just looking for the chance to get away for a long weekend. We were not disappointed. The hotel was built around ten years ago, but looks like an authentic Italian monastery. Our spacious double room with a canopy bed... More

San Gabrielle is a very nice and romantic hotel in Rosenheim, Germany. It is about a 10 minute drive to the town's center. Although everything is hold in a monastery style the interior is very modern with fancy lights emitting a special atmosphere. The room size was okay. The bathroom was rather small, but still alright. The bed was pretty... More

We found it through tripadvisor and booked for a night, as the town had been recommended by a German friend . What delightful , themed hotel, using the old monastery location, with nooks and crannies, and quaint room shapes , whitewash walls, themed furniture and friendly helpful staff. Would return. Need to determine their restaurant is where you would eat... More

This hotel is a must for all lovers of the quaint! Everything is perfect. The hotel is like a monastery with all the modern conveniences! Each room quaint in its own way. The restaurant and breakfast room are also in the ancient style, and the staff so helpful and pleasant! The hotel is near the city and all activities. A... More

We stopped here on the way to a skiing holiday in Austria. Its a lovely hotel with a restaurant. Very comfortable rooms with and interesting history, it was once a monastery and the rooms in the converted monks cells. Very atmospheric. It an ideal for a stopover because its very near to the motorway. We ate in the restaurant which... More

Spectacular hotel with incredibly thick walls and weird shaped doors and wrought iron details and tables handcrafted from giant logs. It is located a bit out from the center of Rosenheim which would be annoying if we didn't have our bikes. Superb restaurant and a delightful English speaking staff. We were lucky to find a cancellation in this otherwise sold... More

Thoroughly enjoyed my two night stay at San Gabriele. Enjoyed the unique theme of a monastery nestled in the Bavarian countryside. The hotel was nice complete with a marvelous restaurant which we immensely enjoyed. The location was fine, but somewhat remote. The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom. The breakfast was also very good with a nice... More

I found this hotel on tripadvisor and ratings looked good. We are a family of 5 people and booked the family room. There a lot of good things about this hotel despite the 2 Star rating. The people are very nice, the restaurant serves phantastic food and the hotel environment is just unique in its own beutiful way. So why... More

We stayed here for a weekend away and the room was great! They upgraded us free of charge because they were quiet and they didn't even mention it. The hotel room itself was beautiful- really luxurious although minimal to fit the monastery style. I would suggest you have a car if staying here- you can walk around 30 mins from... More

Stayed on business, the hotel is set up to appear to be a monastery I think. It was clean, comfortable. The breakfast is typical Germany fare, well prepared. The only complaint was no temperature adjustment in the room. I slept with the window open so it worked. Fully stocked beer. If you don't have a car you will need either... More
