Stepping into the Villa Saint-Louis is magical, and gives you a chance to experience another place and time! The home is charming, with interesting pieces and décor wherever you look. The garden is so charming, as is the owner, Bernadette. The balcony is a wonderful place to start the day with a cup of coffee. It is in a perfect... More

One of the most interesting accomodation experiences of our Provence trip. Fantastic old period house literally overflowing with antiques and 'junk'. Bathrooms a bit small and lacking facilities but who cares - this is typical of France. Great breakfast and terrific community spirit with the other guests. Bernadette is a lively host who belies her age and readily provides advice... More

I randomly ended up staying here but it was a real relief from a lond day trip. Friend ly and just a one minute walk away from Albert Camus's home. There were few hotels in Lourmarin and this was a perfect choice.

What a wonderful place. Everything is charming, the garden is a dream, the house filled with treasure and Bernadette the host will provide you with the best tips of the region and do whatever is possible to make your stay delightful. We came 15 years ago for the first time and go back there as much as we can. We... More

We loved our stay with Bernadette we visited in Sept 2014 and it soon became the highlight of our European holiday. For us ,the simple breakfast, Bernadette's charm and grace, the friendships formed with Bernadette's Canadian friends staying with her at the time and the quaint village of Lourmarin all created the magic of our stay. Even the fact that... More

This beautiful little hotel is simply sublime. The decor, the ambience, the location and most of all, beautiful Bernadette were out of this world. If ever there was a natural hostess it's Bernadette- her warmth and hospitality is quite simply unparalleled. See here, a link to an outing she took me on to show me the village and it's surrounds.... More

We spent 3 nights at Villa Saint Louis in late April, and were greeted warmly by Mme. Lassalette on our arrival. Unfortunately, that was the last we ever saw of her. She made no appearance at breakfast, nor was she there when we returned from the day's touring, or when we left or returned from dinner. She was not in... More

Villa Saint Louis with Bernadette Lassallette being the owner, the character and the soul of the 18th century venue is a real luck to meet. This spring I have been there twice, three times last year. Lavender fields nearby, wonderful villages around or a marvellous hideaway within 20 meters from villa - all is possible from Villa Saint Louis. When... More

To begin with this property is every bit like the photos on the website and prettier. It is a typical provence B&B - even the booking is by mail and phone and not through payment portals. The rooms are large, well equipped, clean with french windows and clean bathrooms. Breakfast is nice too, recommend you to have it in the... More

We had been recommended to stay here, but the recommendation was qualified with a "But, ....!" Forget the "but". This was a charming example of French B & B. The hostess/owner is a delightful lady called Bernadette Lassallette, who was the perfect hostess. Always available for advice, but never "in your face". She clearly loved to have people in her...
