We spent a week-end at the chateau and were very pleased to have chosen it. The chateau is located in a forrest with a magnificent alley leading up to it. We selected a superior room and it was spacious and comfortable with a view on the garden and the forest. There was a wedding going on, so we could not... More

This old Castle is far outside of Paris close to a small village called Couvieux (15 minutes walkway). Rooms, drinks and food in this 4-star hotel is on a high level but they offer a very bad service, not the best food quality and cleanliness what you expect for this price. This fits totally not together. The hotel offers parking... More

Stayed for 4 nights here. Would rate it as average at best. It's away from the buzz of Paris in the countryside. It's fairly old, a bit worn, and in need of a refresh and some modernization. For the price, you should expect more.

The castle is wonderful and the outside is nice but there is a lot to tell about the inside. The room is really basic just like the inside of the castle. It's old and they are not event trying to renovate. A lot is broken (hammam for example). If you're looking for a romantic experience, don't come.

I was there on business but I wish it had been for pleasure. The entrance to this village is quite breathtaking. This was my first trip to Europe so many things were firsts for me. The views from the back of the property were very nice. The overall grounds were very well kept. The pool area was ok but a... More

I'm not sure why this Chateau is listed as a five star accomodation. We had just come from another Chateau in another town the night before (another 5 star) and the service was night and day compared to here. Situated in a beautiful and historic part of France that should be visited (Area) for its cultural value, I wouldn't personally... More

The chateau is set in a wooded and peaceful setting and is grand, luxurious and peaceful. We booked a superior room, which gave us a huge bed with plenty of space to relax and unwind in. The restaurant has a very good reputation and served excellent quality high end food. Both our meals were very good and accompanied with an... More

The website shows lovely surrounds including a pool & spa area. Beware! Upon arrival a sequence of events occurred the result of which is this note: the pool was out of order "BUT the hamam and sauna are working". I arranged a massage for the next day with the intention of using the other spa facilities. Sadly the hammer &... More

Good place to visit and stay to see the autumn colours. The exterior of the property is breathtaking. The interior is not of the same standard, though. Thew restaurant was fully booked, so we couldn't sample the food. We ended up eating the bar food which was inadequate (not a lot to choose from and the salmon was under-cooked!). The... More
