On paper this was going to be the best hotel we stayed at during our tour around France. A Chateau, with lots of history set in large mature grounds seemed an ideal way to spend a few romantic nights, even if we are now the wrong side of middle age! How wrong I was, the place is big, almost cold,... More

Beautifully situated castle surrounded by nature nature nature. Well maintained, treasured and in good condition. Free Wifi. Rooms are a bit small but OK, bathroom well equipped and modern and almost as big as the room - at least. View on the park in the morning is gorgeous. Staff is friendly and efficient. Plenty of parking. Lovely terrace and tennis... More

The hotel looked abandoned, was not clean and there was a terrible smell. The staff was so rude you couldn't feel welcome and there was no heating -in february. We decided to leave the hotel, but we had to pay for the entire stay!

I booked this hotel for a romantic getaway on Valentine's Day. What was supposed to be a wonderful weekend, quickly ended in horror. The castle turned out to be badly maintained, smelled horrible, the room was too small and the staff were the most arrogant people I've ever met. When we arrived, we had to wait over half an hour... The buildig and the surroundings are quite impressive but the rooms and the service are poor. The rooms have all the basics but they aren't comfortable. And you have to take a quick shower or the second person won't have hot water!!! We didn't eat at the restaurant but we had breakfast and were very disappointed. Not much to choose... More

We had planned a romantic weekend away, just with the 2 of us. When we entered the estate, we were impressed with the castle, the gardens and its surroundings. My husband had stayed there about 10 years ago and he said that its was really worth staying there. When we entered the castle, we finally found the reception (hidden away... More

The setting for this hotel is really great but that's about it. We stayed there for one night and were really disappointed. In the bathroom there was a panel in the wall missing. You could see service pipes and a lot of dust. The wooden floor in the room itself makes a lot of noise and the breakfast is not... More

The Chateau makes a good first impression when you approach it from the village with well maintained impressive grounds. We had the cheaper rooms which were on the third floor and accessed via the chateau stair case...no lifts . The rooms were okay and reasonably equipped but the beds had had it. The towels left alot to be desired as... More

We booked this hotel after reading several good reviews in various travel guides covering places to stay in France. We booked it thinking it would be the ideal way to end our holiday, with a romantic evening in a first class hotel with excellent food....if only. The setting for the hotel is impressive but that is, unfortunately, the only thing... More

The chateau is located approx. 3 km off the pebble beach of Sassetot which is located approx 15 km from Fecamp in Normandy/France. A well maintained park surrounds the 18th century building which was erected in 1772. An impressive entrance gate and driveway leads to the main building. In 1875 Sissy the Austrian Empress stayed here for 6 months and... More
