I stayed with some friends for a bike race - both to participate and then the following day to spectate. Whilst the hotel was some kilometres from the start in Oudenaarde, the quiet location was superb and the distance from the start no issue. When we first saw the hotel it took our breath away it was so picturesque and... More

Stayed twice during journey across Europe. Reviewed before in 2011 but worth updating again due to improvements to the bathroom. Same room as last time but no longer dark and a little dreary. New fittings and tiles make it brighter and more welcoming. Once again only snacks in the evening but good us while travelling. Each time these snacks have... More

Arrived very late just after midnight, and the owners were fantastically accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was arranged extra early in the morning to accommodate an very early sunday morning departure! This was a surprise, a great help for the day, and much appreciated. Breakfast was great and served with smile! Rooms and property extremely clean and tidy, not a thing... More

My wife, my daughter, & I stayed here in September 2012. This was our first trip to this area and we couldn't have been more pleased! The room was spacious and comfortable. The hotel is located in a very picturesque rural setting, yet only short minutes from Gent. Breakfast was fresh and tasty! It is quiet and peaceful with such... More

This small family run hotel is set in woodland in a picturesque part of Belgium. The owners are very friendly and accommodating and made our stay very easy. The decor is in keeping with the building, the bathrooms are spacious and the rooms very pleasant. The only criticism we had was that the bed was rather on the small side.... More

Clean, spacious rooms with a good breakfast We found it strange we had to order our breakfast the night before - which included tea and coffee! Breakfast was good - well presented with the most delicious soft boiled eggs i have had... More

Located in a pretty river side village in easy reach of Gent historic centre by car (or bicycle for the adventurous) and the Calais ferries - this is a very interesting stop over. Formerly the home of one of Belgium's foremost artists this is a lovely and tranquil spot for exploring the area or for stopping over to/from the ferry... More

A lovely hotel in a quiet location. Rooms are large and comfortable but bathrooms are a little on the dark side possibly due to low energy bulbs. No restaurant but snacks and drinks available, which are good value for the area. Location quiet and within walking distance of the river. Many walks around the area.
