We stayed 3 nights towards the end of our cycling holiday. The hotel was a great place to recuperate after cycling in 30 degree heat. We stayed on the half board rate in Rom 403, which was a good sized mini suite with a small seating area and small balcony. The 5th floor swimming pool and spa was great, with... More

The place, environment, restaurant all are extremely nice. Of coarse this comes not for free. I visited the hotel about 20 years ago. The standards are still at the same level. The nature in the Bad Aussee area is wonderfull.

We stayed 1 night during our way to Italy. We got a spacious room with balcony facing the mountains. The breakfast buffet was great. The dinner (half board) was 5 course menu - with a lot of variety!. The roof swimming pool facing the mountains was excellent and relaxing. The hotel was very clean!

For our 20th wedding anniversry, my husband surprised me with a long week-end in this lovely hotel in the middle of Austria! Our room on the 4th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean with a remarkable view of the surrounding mountains. We slept like a dream in the room which was lined with swiss pine walls and flooring. The two... More

Great hotel with probably the friendliest and most attentive staff I have met in Austria. The location is beautiful and only a 15 mins drive from the ski slopes. Great spa/swimming facilities to relax. Rooms are simple yet clean and just what you need for such a priced hotel. Food was above average. Would easily return!!

A superb hotel, beautiful surroundings, very clean hotel, excellent food, very friendly people, even if you can't speak the language, they always try to help you, good fun, has a fantastic heated swimming pool, there is a lift or take the stairs, relax in the bar or have food and any drinks in the lounge or outside, and service with... This was our second time in this hotel and I must admit after our first visit I could hardly wait to come again. This is the best place to relax and unwind and if you think you can never relax enough you should try this place! It just spoils you rotten! Not to repeat myself about the perfect pool, spa... More

Well, it was not quite what we thought it was ... and having stopped for coffee at the Fucshl Schloss on the way, perhaps we were initially a little disappointed. We had also booked a slightly more expensive room for us parents, but it turned out to be no bigger than the room booked for our daughters and they had... More

Searching for the perfect place for an early spring weekend in Austrian Alps I looked up dozens of hotels but I am glad to say such thorough search was not in vain. Bad Aussee is a small town, pretty as a picture, somewhere between Graz and Salzburg, surrounded by magnificent Alps and three beautiful lakes. Hotel Erzherzog Johann is situated... More

Spent two nights here in the middle of a bicycle trip and enjoyed the luxury of the spa/pool area. The rooms were fine but the hotel as a whole provided and very relaxing experience with terrific service. The ice cream shop across the street was awesome and the bicycling in the area was lovely.
