My husband, daughter and her two little ones took two rooms - the keys were waiting for us at the front desk since we arrived late. Everything was perfectly enjoyable for our two night stay. We did dine in the Mexican Restaurant for ease because we had little ones with us, and the food was good. Not Austrian or German... More

We stayed for 5 nights in Hallein whilst on a workshop nearby. The staff were friendly, efficient and very helpful. Our room in the eaves was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and we had a spa bath which was an unexpected bonus!! The breakfast croissants were to die for. We had a 5 minute walk across the... More

It's possible we just hit this place on a bad night last week when we pulled off the autobahn for an overnight stop, but our experience at this hotel was simply awful. It's a shame, because the building has a lot of charm and is convenient to the autobahn. As it was, our tiny room was depressing, dingy, and not... More

Thank you, that there is a review site like yours, where the owner of a hotel, position must respond to unjustified review. We are a 3 star hotel, family-run establishment in the center of the town Hallein. We are not dirty, noisy, unfreindlly and overpriced! They came without a reservation in our house and I have offered my last two... More

We stayed 2 nights at this cosy hotel in the town Hallein. We had a small suite of 2 rooms and bathroom - all were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. The location is good, easy to reach, not far from the Highway from Salzburg to the south, very close to Bad Durnberg and its attraction... More

My wife and I have used the Hafnerwirt many times while on holiday in Hallein & Salzburg. Hallein is not very far from Salzburg. The staff members are very friendly, the prices reasonable (€40 pp), rooms clean & comfortable and breakfast excellent. There is a good restaurant on the ground floor if you don't want to travel into Hallein proper.... More

Very noisy surrounded by 3 busy streets. Small room. Amplified by the loo ventilation which couldn't be stopped. Dirty rooms with thick black linings on the carpet edges. Don't get close to the hotel restaurant. Mexican (sic!) food. Chili con carne made me sick for two days. "When you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back at you". (Nietzsche)

Why do you go to a city hotel when searching the absolute silence? Have you seen the roads as you entered our house? They have come to our house without reservation, they need a double for 1 night. They have seen the room before checked in, and told me everthing is o.k.!!! They visited the show Faust I and Faust... More
