Have just returned from a week at the St Georg. We enjoyed every aspect of the stay. The food was delicious, the staff friendly, the pool was warm, and the bus station and main lift nearby. Also our room was a good size with plenty of storage and a balcony. We would definitely return especially if there was a bit... More

Stayed here January 2015, it's only a 5 minute walk to the funicular and even closer to the town centre. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was exceptional with a wide selection of traditional Austrian dishes. The bar prices were very good value with a good selection of some very good Austrian wines and beers! We would... More

We spent a lovely Christmas 2014 at this hotel. The hotel was clean, room extremely spacious and comfortable. The food was excellent - typical Austrian and also fresh, plentiful, beautifully presented with a good choice (and not too much pork /veal) - freshly cooked eggs of your choice at breakfast too. Excellent choice of wines. The Christmas Eve dinner was... More

We stayed a whole week, and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned (though the alpine atmosphere is very nice) and slightly expensive, but everything else was fine: location, rooms, food, service, the swimming pool, tea after dinner etc.). We'd really like to get back there!

I returned yesterday from a week at the St Georg in Bad Hofgastein. I can't recommend it highly enough - the staff are efficient and friendly, the pool is nice and quiet (the hotel was about half-full) and the sauna area quite large, with a number of different types of sauna/steam room. There are a number of different massage treatments... More

After four holidays staying at this lovely hotel, I thought it was about time I wrote a review. Wouldn’t be fair for us not to share this wonderful find with anyone else! Great location – just a few minutes into the centre of the town. And a ten minute walk away along the riverside in the morning brings you to... More

My wife and I stayed here for a week's skiing holiday. This is a perfect example of a really good Austrian Hotel. The hotel has a great Alpine atmosphere, our room was spacious, clean and quiet and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks to a delayed flight we arrived at 11pm however a full meal was laid on... More

We stayed in the St, Georg for a week while skiing, having seen it while previously in Bad Hofgastein. Apart from a few minor glitches, I have to say I found it really good. The location is perfect for skiing, being only a short walk from the Schlossalm funicular, and central skibus stop area, but be aware - for anyone... More

We choose the ski-resort first ( which was a disappointment in comparison ) then the hotel by chance for our 7 night holiday in B.Hofgastein. The hotel exceeded all our expectations, especiall their kitchen: the 5 course evening meals were absolutely fantastic. Despite the meals at a half-board dinnertime are usually served "en-masse" , each of these plates were individually... More
