The staff was pleasant, but no one went out of their way. One disappointing thing was that the pool seemed colder than advertised and smoking was permitted in the hotel lobby and sitting room. The rooms are a bit outdated and the mattress was also not very comfortable. At dinner, the wine was better than the food, but the breakfast... More

Alpina Hotel is a typical family run hotel in the Austrian mountains and is not one of the newest hotels. We stayed at one of the hotel anexes, called villa Frosin, which looked like a fairy tale house. Rooms were nothing to rave about, bathrooms absolutely tiny that I could barely fit into the shower and I did hit myself... More

We have just returned from a group Ski holiday staying at the Alpina. This is our second visit and they have a new Manager although still owned by the family who have run it for years. It is a great place to stay, a few minutes’ walk to the Ski lifts ( or catch the ski bus). There is an... More

How refreshing to have a friendly manager in an Austrian hotel who makes a fuss of English guests as well as returning Austrian s . Night life is non existent but if you want to relax in a nice clean sauna and eat good food with good wine this is the place for you. 2 tips firstly the rooms in... More

Great traditional family run ski hotel. Good facilities for skies and boots with the ski bus just outside. Very nice bar and lobby area with an excellent complimentary after ski buffet. Very helpful and service minded staff. Good food. Especially nice was the calm atmosphere in the restaurant despite the hotel being completely full. (It is not a jet-set place.)... More

The SportHotel Alpina largely lives up to its 4 star rating, but in my opinion the en-suite bathroom falls quite a long way short of that high standard. So to start with the good points: The hotel location is excellent, the ski bus stops within about 100 yards of the front door; boot locker leads straight onto the road and... More

Just returned on 9th March from our ski holiday at this hotel, staying with a large group of friends. I have to say that there were no problems with this hotel at all. From our point of view it was excellent value for what we paid. Full buffet breakfast, and great selection of meals each evening with one gala dinner... More

Family run hotel with a friendly attitude. We had a room on the 3rd floor, clean, comfortable bed. The bathroom, whilst spotless, was getting tired. The balcony had a pleasant outlook. The room price included half board and the food was very good, both – evening and breakfast.

Our group booked into this hotel on a package ski holiday, I can thoroughly recommend it as the location was excellent and the food was generally very good, varied and not lacking in volume ! The free swimming pool and sauna made relaxing after skiing different from the usual propping up of the bar. Only real complaint was the lack... More

I have been a regular guest at the Alpina for over 10 years and would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is a traditional style Austrian hotel with a largely older clientelle but families with children are welcome. Many guests are regulars who return annually because of the attractions of this place. It is centrally placed within waliking distance... More
