There are very mixed reviews on here but I really enjoyed my stay. There is a very nice beach and lovely clear sea. There are a number of hotels along the beach so do not expect it to be deserted but it is possible to walk to other nearbt beaches which are quieter. The hotel pool is very nice, the... More

We, a family with two boys, 1 and 3 years old, stayed there 5 days. The place is clean, good maintained, not too large so everything is within short reach. Majority of bungalows are very close to the beach. Swimming pool is nice and clean but of no much use as the beach and sea are great. There is enough... More

I'm just back from a 3 day short stay at this hotel and after staying in dozens of resorts I can only say this as been my worst experience ever at any. Getting at the location the first thing that got our attention was the beach crowd (we were expecting a quiet beach after reading a few (probably fake) reviews.... More

The fist thing you experience is the check in on the mainland at Ban Phe pier where you are given your breakfast vouchers and a ticket on the ferry boat that takes you to the island. The ferry boat goes twice a day at 10am and about 1.30pm. The ferry is free if you stay at the resort and takes... More

Spent a week at the Vongdeuan Resort on Koh Samet after a month of travelling around Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. We stayed in one of the Thai cottages, small but it had everything we needed. On the weekend the beach was a little busy but the rest of the time very relaxing. Enjoyed both the beach and pool. Good... More

The bus ride from Bangkok was 3.5 hours but over 4 hours on the way back. It was helpful that the resort has it's own ferry to take you direct to the resort even if you do have to wade ashore! We had the cheapest accommodation in a semi detached bungalow that was perfectly adequate and a pleasant walk down... More

This 'resort' is not a resort. If you bare that in mind before you go and have reasonable expectations of this basic but busy accommodation and island, you won't be disappointed. The Thai huts are great - very small but with all the amenities you would need/want (television, movie player, hot water, A/C, fan, cupboard storage, small closet space), simple... More

This place is quite nice. Staff are alright, sometimes a bit apathetic but at other times really friendly. It took us around 5-6 hours to get to the hotel from Bangkok using the bus and the free ferry direct to the hotel (leaves twice a day I think). I would have liked to have stayed longer if I would have... More

I would definitely not recommend this accommodation. The staff seemed so very unhappy, not very helpful. Near the end of high season and perhaps tired of foreigners? My husband and I are on our honeymoon and stated this clearly both on our booking and check in. They put is in a adjoining bungalow that we could hear our "room mates"... More

We spent 5 nights at the resort and frankly could have hardly been happier about our choice. The location on Vongeuan beach is beautiful, the resort itself is very well kept and constantly tidied up by an army of workers, the pool overlooking the sea is stunning, clean and fresh. We had a bungalow accommodation a few meters from the... More
