At first we stayed at a Thai house, but then they were fully booked so we changed to a Deluxe, which was nicer although it was cheaper. The Deluxe was cleaner and neater, with a nicer bathroom, and we couldn't really understand why the Thai house was more expensive. Anyway, I would recommend the deluxe over the Thai house in... More

Ko Samet is a beautiful Island and is a National Park. The Vongdeuan Resort is on a lovely white sandy beach and the sea is like stepping into a wonderfully clear bath. It is so warm. The reception desk is on the beach. The rooms are all in separate chalets, mainly for two people but they do have adjoining rooms... More

I'm here as I write this and one of the positives is that the wifi works well around the resort. We got here yesterday and the place is very pleasant and in a nice location. The breakfast was good with the mixture on the buffet for all persuasions. The thing letting this place down as far as I can see... More

Vongdeuan Resort has some renovation works to their restaurant at the moment. The make shift tent/marquee restaurant still served excellent Asian food (we didn't try any western food) and the staff were friendly, professional, and organised as usual. We had an unfortunate incident of 6000 baht cash stolen from a bag. I felt very stupid as I know leaving money... More

After agonizing and agonizing on what accommodation to book having been to Koh Samet 10 years ago (Vongdeuan Beach had nothing on it in those days), I eventually, thanks to a special on Sawadee, decided on Vongdeuan Resort. It was a very close toss up between them and Vongdeuan Villa. So glad we didn’t book Villa. A couple of no... More

This resort is located at a quieter part of the island. My wife and I got the Cottage room and it was clean and basic. The aircond was a relief after a long day out at the beach. You get two small bottle of water daily in the room & there is also a stocked fridge with some soft drinks... More

Having been to Thailand many times this is the most we have ever spent on a room and although it was nice and pleasant, I was hoping for a bit more. There is a free ferry to the resort from the mainland, when we checked inn on the island the staff weren't to happy or helpful. The room itself was... More

Apologies for late review. As with all beach resorts in S.East Asia the price doubles compared with those inland. This hotel was on a beautiful island, very picturesque. The swimming pool are was very nice over looking the beach. The reception was on the beach which was quite quirky. The rooms were OK, not overly luxurious having stayed in the... More
