We stayed in the VIP cabin for about 3100 baht a night and found that, after 3 nights, overpriced (I'm not familiar with other Ko Samet prices). Breakfast is not included, no safety box in the room. No mosquito net. However there is a fridge, a kettle and a satellite tv (if you like that on holiday, all Thai channels... More

Overall a pleasant resort. Not the most welcoming of staff, although they were friendly enough. We had the first bungalow off the beach, small and compact, not much storage space for clothing. Food was very good. Our only criticism was the noise in the evening from the resort next door with their loud music

I was sharing a twin deluxe room with my girl friend from 12/9-12/11. Found the room floor is sticky & dirty. opened the windows, they were full of dust, never been cleaned. Nothing was provided in the bathroom except bottle of soup and shampoo, no tooth brush, small towel, facial issue box, cotton butts, etc. The sink was clogged. The... More

The rooms here are ok - nice, the bed was pretty hard. But everything was clean and all electrical units working. Coffee maker and big refrogriator, and a tv with all thai channels. Bathroom was nice. Resturant is completley hopeless regarding waiting for service, food and bill. But if you are in a real real laidback mood its not all... More

Had a great stay at Tonsak. Loved the garden areas that lined the path up back from the beach to the Deluxe bungalows. And the view at breakfast of the beach was AMAZING. The staff are friendly and helpful and the all-wood bungalows made me feel like I was back home in Canada. When booking, don't take the bungalows closest... More

The Tonsak Resort is right at the beachfront but still in the jungle. This is done by a lot of different bushes and trees planted between the cabins. This is very nicely lighted up during the night. One downside of this is a bit more mosquitos than normal. A repellent can fix that. The location and sceenery is very nice... More

Found this to be a nice place on samet. Nice gardens, clean bungalows, helpful staff. Great location near te town, found a great little restaurant called Bananajust past the 7 eleven. The only problem was the mosquitoes that gorged on my 2 year old son. A mosquito net would have been great. We took the room on the beach with... More

Not sure why this place is getting bad reviews?? I've stayed here twice and have just returned from a lovely 3 night trip with family and friends, the staff here are very nice and were helpful when any problems come up ( loud air con in room 23, moved to a new room with no problems and lots of apologies... I really enjoyed my stay at Tonsak Resort, i was a little worried beforehand because as usual, i base a lot on where i stay on other people's reviews and Tonsak has recieved a mixed bag, however its a lovely little resort!! What you have to remember is you are booking a small bungalow with basic facilities because it is... More
