We only stayed one night to break up to the journey from Kampala to Bwindi and we wished we'd stayed a couple more, for pure relaxation! Mihingo Lodge is absolutely fabulous! Beautiful, isolated and private tents are perched on a ridge overlooking Mburo National Park. The tents have large balconies and are airy and luxurious- everything you'd expect! The facility... more

When you first see the Mihingo Lodge from the road as you make your way through Lake Mburo National Park, you feel like you’re looking at something from the set of a movie and you just know it’s going to be a special place. We arrived and were greeted by one of the managers, Katie, who walked with us up... more

Our family visit to Mihingo Lodge in the August of 2008 was without a doubt the icing on the cake at the end of what was a very enjoyable 3 week holiday in Uganda. We had been self camping for much of our trip so to arrive at Mihingo Lodge dusty and disheveled at the invitation of Ralph Schenk and... more

We needed a bed for our last day in Uganda nearish to Entebbe but not too near so we plumped for an impromptu visit to Lake Mburo where we have stayed before but not at this new Lodge. What lucky choices one does make from time to time. A beautiful Lodge on a beautiful site, set amongst the rocks at... more

The tented rooms are great - simply done, but with everything you need and splendid views of the National Park. (NB: quite a trek from one room to the next, and over rocky ground, so not for those who find it hard to walk). The food is lovely, simple but good, and there's something available to drink or to snack... more

This is a lovely hotel and has the best food out of all the places we stayed at in the country. the rooms are big and gorgeous. the owner clearly cares a great deal about his hotel. Be aware that some of the rooms require quite a trek between them and the main lodge so if you are not that... more

We stayed at Mihingo Lodge one night on the way back from Bwindi enroute to Entebbe. We stayed in the King's and loved it! There were 12 people in our group and we all wished we were staying more than one night. The accomodations are fabulous and the food is excellent. The view from the pool over the game park... more

Staying at Mihingo Lodge was absolutely fabulous! It is such a beautiful place, overlooking the Lake Mburo National Park with friendly staff and great food. The best thing is seeing the zebras while swimming in the pool. The bungalows have been designed with a lot of care for lovely details and you'll get your morning coffee served at a private... more

We stayed here from traveling from Lake Victoria to Bwindi. The food was fab and the hosbitality from the staff was so friendly. Debbie the stand in manager is lovely. Our room was 'Kings' andf it had a rock as the shower and over looked the whole park. The bar was very reasonable, Coke is 30p and beer £1. Really... more

I stayed at the Mihingo Lodge just a few months after it was open. The owners have taken great care to engineer the lodge in an eco-friendly manner and to employ local label. The accommodations are stunningly beautiful, with permanent tents overlooking a National Park. From the dining area and bar you can look down on a local watering hole... more
