Even though we went during the hottest time of year, the proximity to the ocean makes the heat bearable. The chilled-out atmosphere is wonderful if you want to relax and switch off. The food is great and the hospitality of the owners exceptional. Make sure to get a room facing east so that you can wake up with a gorgeous... More

This was absolutely an amazing place to stay. We were spending a month in Kenya and Tanzania and spent 3 days here just to veg out. Our bahari was perfect with a veranda complete with big comfy chairs and a hammock and the Indian Ocean lapping at our feet. The food was excellent; the staff so friendly; and lots of... More

FEP is such a stunning location to head to if you want an escape from the hustle and bustle of Tanzania but still to enjoy the beauty of the country. From the main road to Mombasa there is a gorgeous 6 mile motorbike/piki-piki (or bus) ride through the outback, forest and villages to get to FEP. We felt like we... More

To make it short: We had a wonderful time and we felt perfectly relaxed afterwards!
Fish Eagle Point is such a lovely place – as we stood on our Bahari Cottage’s veranda for the first time, the view across the bay and over the sea really took our breath away. The cottage itself is huge and nicely furnished, the... More

But felt the need to share how great this place is. We took the local bus from Tanga to the village of Boma (on the road to Mombasa) which only cost Tsh3000 and then we're offered a lift or you can get a Piki Piki (local motorbike and an adventure) the 10km from the main road thorough beautiful countryside to... This was our second stay at Fish Eagle and every time we go, it is never long enough. Cathy and Steve are perfect hosts and the staff are welcoming and attentive even at midnight which is the time we eventually arrived! There is something here for everyone....whether you just want to relax by the beautiful pool and read or go... More

We went for a family day trip today ti Fish Eagle Point. I called ahead to book lunch there and make sure they are open this weekend. What a beautiful place. Great food. Good service. Reasonably priced. Just great. We'll book a chalet there one of these days. Excellent

Just over an hour’s drive from Tanga hidden away and totally secluded is the delightful Fish Eagle Point (FEP). Discovered, designed and built by the owners Steve and Cathy Attwell in a stunning location. FEP is set amongst a volcanic rocky coastline which is sandy inshore, but with exposed rock pools teeming with life at low tide going out over... More
