We had a very pleasant weekend here, the guest house is lovely, the owners are delightful and incredibly helpful. Lovely clean, spacious warm room and lovely breakfast. Great views from the room, just a shame we didn't have longer to explore the area.

The proprietors of The Allt are very welcoming and have found exactly the right balance of attention to their guests. The room I stayed in was fantastic, tastefully decorated, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly cooked and perfectly presented. Surroundings were stunning and the place is within easy reach of the village. I enjoyed every moment and every... More

Upon arrival there was a strong smell of smoking and yet we never saw anyone smoking and our room did not smell either. Another wierd thing is that the house, our room, bed linin, crockery and cutlary were all clean yet a feather duster is urgently needed to remove the cobwebs. The decor Could do with an update in places... More

We spent one night at this nice B&B, room and bathroom very clean and nice. Slept very comfortably on the double bed. We have a 7 months old child, the tenants were very nice and there was no problem whatsoever because of the baby (other places in the area turned down our request hospitality when they knew about us traveling... The Allt is a great BnB very close to Talybont, which is a great village with a lot of great pubs like The white Hart and The star, that have local beers and ale. They have beautiful rooms and really comfy beds. Also, they're garden and the view is stunning. If you want to venture out, Breacon is close and... More

I stayed at the Allt B&B in the summer of 2014 in one of the single rooms. I'll get the negatives out of the way first. The room was quite small which wasn't really a problem but I have to agree with a couple of the other reviewers and say that the carpets did look as though they hadn't been... More

A short notice weekend in the winter. We were pleased to find the Allt close to everything we wanted. i.e. walking the Beacons and the Star Inn pub at Talybont on Usk. Seamus and Anne were extremely flexible with check in times. We were able to pop in and leave our gear and head straight out for our walk prior... More

We have been returning to The Allt since 2001 and always receive the same warm friendly greetings - it's like having our home away from home. Our hosts Anne & Seamus are always very helpful with local information and maps for walking or cycling, they always go that extra mile to make sure their guests have an enjoyable stay. The... More

We booked The Allt after reading the excellent reveiws on TripAdvisor, but then we arrived and what a shocking contrast! When we first arrived we thought the carpet hadn't been hoovered and the bed had a couple of what looked like black dog hairs on which I picked off as we could live with it for a couple of days.... Thank you for your comments. We failed to meet our own normal high standards but you make a number of statements that we do not agree with. For example, the small black-marks on the bed-linen that you describe as ‘stains’ were caused by inadvertent touches of the Indian marker-pen used by our professional laundry service in identification. This is a... More

Our hosts Anne and Seamus were friendly helpful and made us very welcome. The breakfast choice was lovely and the cooked breakfast very tasty. There are amazing views from the rooms and a well kept garden where you can sit . They are dog friendly too. There is so much to do in the area and they will kindly lend... More
