We stayed for two nights, and the motel was everything a good motel should be, clean, value for money, close to town, comfy and great service. Settlers Inn has very good owners willing to do the extra things, but not necessarily charge for the extra things, like the free DVD hire. The situation is fine, everything is so close in Hanmer than all but the most recalcitrant when it comes to exercise will find it easy to explore, from the spa to the maze and everything... more

Booked at last minute. Two bedroomed unit. Spotlessly clean. Very well maintained and no sign of wear and tear that you generally find in anywhere but brand new motels/hotels. The Settlers Inn is really well located in Hanmer - close to the centre but quiet too. The accommodation is clean and very comfortable. It's also very well appointed, with maps, a DVD library and various other things. The owners are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It was an ideal place for our party of nine to stay. more

Stayed for 2 nights - large spacious and well equipped 2 bedroomed apartment with a double and single bed in each room. Private courtyard at rear and outdoor seating at front. Host very welcoming - access to dvds/internet from reception and free laundry. Easy walk into town for restaurants/thermal springs etc. more

Good value accommodation. We stayed here for 1-night during our honeymoon as part of our package with the thermal pools. Not really the romantic place for a honeymoon, as very simple and small lodgings, but very clean and comfy bed as far as motel style accommodation goes. more
