Have stayed in lots of motels in Hanmer Springs, but never at Forest Peak before but will definitely be returning. This older stye motel was, tucked away in very quite location. Has two units suitable for large families that will sleep 8/9 people in bedrooms with Sofa Beds in lounge as well. These are not modern units, but very clean,... More

Good for what it is, value and location. very freindly welcoming owners. second time there in last year or so. I would go again. plenty of spaces for kids to play hide and seek in the rooms. Warm and cosy, even have a log burner for the colder evenings.

The room was clean, functional and cosy. Heater worked a treat and shower was hot. We did find the bed a bit hard for our liking. No noise from adjoining unit. The staff were very friendly and professional, nothing was a problem. We would stay here again

It may not have the sterile pristineness of a four or five star hotel (some of which had rooms worse than this Motel), and yes it is a little "dated", but it is exceptional for value. Our welcome was very friendly, laced with lots of local information, and an apology for the small size of the unit being given to... More

My husband and I stayed here for one night in December. The staff were very friendly on arrival and gave us milk. The units were a good size, clean and had everything you needed, although they were dated. It was quite close to town and had lovely views. The shower pressure was poor. I would recommend this if you are... More

Our group of adults and young children stayed only one night but were sorry to go. Our log cabins were nestled up among trees and bush- with the birds chirping right next to our cabins. Very peaceful surroundings. In front were trees and gardens that made these back units private and nearby was a handy children's play area so we... More

The one bed chalet was lovely. Very clean. A lovely place to stay for a relaxing break. And the owner was very friendly. It is slightly further from the hot pools but that didn't bother us at all. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed here for two nights in August - a couple of cold winters days. The motel is fairly dated but it is warm, clean and comfortable and for Hamner Springs the price was OK. It is 10 minutes walk into town and to the thermal pools. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The only negative is the common... More
