What a very charming place to stay and relax for a long weekend. Everything I had read on Trip Advisor (positive) was confirmed. Our accommodation in a king terrace cottage was extremely comfy. During winter the cottages are kept constantly warm. The rooms are clean and well appointed. In the evening we enjoyed a lovely glass of red in front... More

The owners John and Penny make this place very warm and friendly. This is our second visit here spending two nights in the Vineyard Cottages and their customer service and relaxed vibe makes this place a very pleasant weekend away. Use of local produce and an excellent chef, The Vineyard Cafe is an excellent place to eat. Accompanied with an... More

I cannot find words good enough to describe this place. The food was second to none as was the service. John and Penny were absolutely amazing hosts who made you feel more like friends than customers. We all tried different meals and we all practically licked the plate clean. It was quite cold however John and Penny accommodated to us... More

We travelled with another couple to the Stanthorpe/Ballandean region for an Easter break and spent 3 nights staying here. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and our two-bedroom cottage had everything we needed (except a kitchen sink!). It was a great place to base ourselves while exploring Girrawean National Park and the wineries, markets and food shops in the region.... More

After three lovely nights at Vineyard Cottage last August, my husband and I hired a mini bus last weekend and took another three couples back for a return trip. They, like us, were delighted by the charmingly comfortable cottages, welcoming hosts and fabulous local wineries. Our weekend was made all the more enjoyable by the amazing dinners provided at the... More

After our usual Christmas at home, decided a 5 night break would be just the tonic. Glad we settled on 'The Cottages' as our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we were well looked after by our hosts John and Penny. Our 'Queen' cottage was spotless and well appointed, and our meals, breakfasts in the cafe and dinners in the restaurant, were... More

Stayed in two bedroom apartment loft bedroom upstairs and large bedroom downstairs both with lovely bathrooms. Wonderful however what's with no sink? Perhaps wall mount tv and put in a kitchenette? Lovely comfortable beds nice linen and surprisingly no highway noise even though it is very close. Wonderful hosts both very friendly. Both Penny and John help in the restaurant... More

Wonderful spacious well-appointed cottages overlooking lovely gardens. Many thoughtful touches. Even though property is close to highway noise is not an issue as the cottages face away from it. Very relaxing to sit out on the private terrace listening to the many birds. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. Great menu selection with specials board. Beautifully prepared and presented food.... More

We were 2 couples on a motorcycle road trip and the when I was researching somewhere to stay this seemed to meet our requirements of a nice place to stay with it's own restaurant as we like to kick back and relax after a days riding. We were met by Penny who showed us to the cottages, which were lovely.... More

This was a very well presented and managed place. Other reviews have said it all. Had the most southern cottage and was quiet, clean and well appointed. John dropped us off at some wineries and had a decent if not remarkable dinner meal at the restaurant. Good local wine list with some depth. Not really walking distance to much, and... More
