Beautifully presented cottages in handy location. Back for a second stay, I stayed with several family members and this provided a great base for our wine tasting day trips. Ballandean is in my opinion the best area on the Granite Belt to stay as it's closest to the better wineries. The cafe is so much better than you would ever... More

My partner and I stayed for two nights at the Vineyard Cottages and Café for a romantic getaway. Despite romance being very much alive in Ballandean (or that may have just been the result of a good winery tour), the Cottage’s accommodation and culinary provisions left a lot to be desired. 1. The furnishings were old, unmatched (not in a... More

The title says it all. We stayed here on the October long weekend for a three night getaway with friends. The cottages were spotlessly clean and well appointed with all you need for a relaxing time away. The cottages are close to some brilliant wineries and to be fair they are close to the road, we stayed in the cottage... More

My partner and I recently stayed 2 nights, the cottages were so lovely our room felt warm & welcoming. The gardens are beautiful and so were the stars at night. Sitting by the fire at night sipping the local wine was a wonderful experience something I had not done before. John and Penny were great hosts making our stay enjoyable,... More

We have been coming here for over twenty years and can report after a recent visit that the accommodation and restaurant are as good as ever. The increasingly good local wine is well represented on the wine list. There is no better place to stay in the Granite Belt.

Enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay with my partner and 13 yr old son. Stayed in a Queen bed cottage, paying extra for 3 people (reasonable charge for extra person). Lovely setting and cosy cottages. Friendly helpful staff. Is about a 20min drive from the centre of Stanthorpe, but still very close to wineries (which surround the area!) and Giraween... More

We stayed at the Vineyard Cottages two years ago and because we have two disabled children the complex is perfect as it has dedicated disabled setup cottage . So this return trip we stayed again for a long weekend John and Penny went the extra mile to make sure everything is to our liking . They are very experienced hosts... More

My family, including children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, has just celebrated our mother's 80th birthday at Vineyard Cottages. The owners, John and Penny, were fantastic. We arrived to warm and welcoming cottages and then proceeded up to the restaurant where we celebrated with drinks in front of a toasty fireplace. The children entertained themselves with games provided by our friendly... More

So, a friend suggested we go and follow the wine road through the granite belt. We chose to stay at this venue mainly because it was all we could get in to at the last minute. What a great decision it was. They offer a selection of cottages, that are exactly that, cottages. All are clean and well equipped, complete... More

What a very charming place to stay and relax for a long weekend. Everything I had read on Trip Advisor (positive) was confirmed. Our accommodation in a king terrace cottage was extremely comfy. During winter the cottages are kept constantly warm. The rooms are clean and well appointed. In the evening we enjoyed a lovely glass of red in front... More
