I have been to Las Balsas at least 5 times before. The atmosphere brings you together with nature and the beach is just in front of you. Sleeping with the sound of the waves and waking up to continental breakfast. Service is great. Right in the middle of Mancora, not too far not too close from the center!

Small and quiet beach front hotel.... Good food not expensive! Pretty decent service. Nice pool in front of the beach. Great for couples who are looking for a quiet getaway. Good room prices. Located five minutes taxi ride from Mancora town.

We stayed at Las Balsas in November 2013 for 3 nights. They upgraded us to a fabulous room called "Tortugas" (there are 2 rooms like this one but can't remember the other name) leading directly onto the beach and I can't recommend the place enough. The people were friendly, the room was great and huge with a small kitchen area... More

This hotel is located facing what is likely the best scenic beach in Peru, Las Pocitas. Do not expect high-tech as this one is only for people who love rustic appearance. Rooms are cottage-like and beds have built-in concrete platforms but are comfortable. There were some ants but I do not think that can be helped. The ocean view from... More

The location and the hotel is great! But there is no services! You can only spend the day at the beach and then go town and sleep but there is just nothing the hotel offers you and therefore I think the prize is too much for just the place and any service

This hotel is a disaster. It is dirty and the service is very bad. They are riding on the location, which is right on the beach, but apart from that forget it. The swimming pool is filthy. The bed covers have some scary stains. The breakfast was miserly. We wouldn't risk trying any other meals coming out of that kitchen.... More

I stayed 9 days in a bungalow with ocean view. I was almost the only guest there, and I felt like that also. The service was efficient (very clean, breakfast on time, good information). I truly recomend this place as it is a bit rustic, but has all what you need for a pleasant vacation: - walking distance to the... More

We arrived in Mancora with no place in mind to stay. We took a ride down into Las Pocitas (Mancora Chico) about a 5 minute mototaki ride away from downtown Mancora. It was the off season so many of the hotels and bungalows were closed for construction or the prices were still outrageous for the quality (believe me, we looked... More
