Found Kimbas bungalows by chance after reading a blog about Mancora. Sent an email with my enquiry and got prompt and informative reply from Vanessa (who runs Kimbas). We arrived late after a long journey and was shown our bungalow which was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had the perfect pressure and hot water.... More

I stayed here for 3 days, 2 nights in March 2014. Loved the place. Very clean, cozy and beautiful. Good WiFi. It is a bit away from the main touristy street and the beach, but it's only 5 min walk. On the last day my bus was leaving late at night, but the hotel owner let me keep my stuff... More

I would give Kimba's 5 stars except that it's not right on the beach. However, it's just a comfortable 4 minute walk to it. In fact you can see the waves crashing on the beach from the front door of the hotel. The upside of being removed from the beach is that it's also removed from all the city noise... More

Prepare yourself! Once you walk through the big sliding wooden gate you are transformed into another world! Kimbas takes you away from the hustle and bustle of the beach town to a Bali type of peace and serenity. The staff greeted me as soon as I arrived. The room was perfect! Beds are so comfortable and rooms are very clean.... More

This place really does the Balinese vibe well. It's fairly quiet and the grounds include a swimming pool, entry of palms and foliage as well as comfortable seating in both sun and shade. The bungalows are quite large and airy. Cleaned daily and very comfortable. It is a few mins walk to the Main Street which is nice for peace... More

We stayed at Kimbas with my 4 years old daughter for 8 nights. Its garden is designed beautifully with full of coconut trees. the rooms are very clean and decorated very nicely with a lot of attention to details. There were many handsome Brazilian surfers when we were there. So we were lucky :) Nights were quite which we enjoyed... More

The worst place I stayed in Peru. I never slept the entire night due to the traffic noise as the highway is level with the hotel. When I asked for a refund of my other 2 nights as I had booked with a travel agency in Lima the answer was we don't do refunds. There is no written refund policy... More

I am scoring Kimba's Bungalows as Very Good because I am comparing it to other options in Mancora. Some other places in Mancora seem to be a bit noisy but Kimba's is very quiet. It's nice also because they clean the room every day and make sure that you have clean towels, soap, etc. The people are very friendly and... More

the hotel is really nice, the room and the surrounding is perfect. It's full of trees and flowers and other very natural decorations, just like you are into a quiet Utopia! And they have a good service, too, always smile to their customers. The hotel is not like 5 stars hotel or like fancy one, but if you want a... More

Pros: inexpensive, away from the noise of the beach, beautiful setting, pool Cons: Staff wasn't that friendly (besides the guy who tends the gardens), bugs, no fan, breakfast that you pay extra for was terrible.
