We wanted a small out of the way place and Sunset Resort and Villas was just that. The owners and staff were most accommodating and even drove us to stores and to the landmark Lovers Leap. We stayed two weeks in late April and were very comfortable in a small duplex cottage 15 feet from the little coral cliff which... More

Lovely resort in a beautiful spot with fantastic views over the ocean. But our room (Starfish) wasnt great. As two friends travelling (not a couple) we had an enormous double bed and a tiny short bed (which had broken springs and was uncomfortable to lie on so we used it for the cases). The aircon fan rotation from broken and... More

Kory is a caring owner who takes care of his guests. He took an interest in my partner's mountain biking and drove him to the top of the mountain trail he had come to this area to ride. He moved us to the largest suite when there was a problem with the one we had rented. The suite needs updating... More

I booked a 2 night stay at Sunset Resort and was assigned the Mermaid room. As soon as I entered the room I could see that it looked old and dated and the state of the bathroom was particularly poor. Pros: Great views of the ocean, nice complementary breakfast, wifi worked in the room, friendly staff Cons: Condition of the... More

Sunset Resort Villa is a small resort in a very wonderful location in Treasure Beach. Within walking to Calabash & Frenchman's Bay (on the road, not the beach unfortunately), it's a good place for a family. The pros: Waves breaking outside my room. Nice verandah. Clean & large room, w/A/C & hot water. Restaurant and clean pool onsite. Well run,... More

The rooms are a bit dated. The property can use an upgrade. The owner mentioned he was planning to do some work on the place. Te bedroom had a/c but the living room unit was out of service. The place had a great view! Great breakfast! Great sunset! Average beach (a rocky walk to get there).

We’ve been so fortunate this year to be able to go all over Jamaica--Port Antonio, Mavis Bank, Ocho Rios, Falmouth, MoBay, Negril, Strawberry Hill and Treasure Beach. Every destination was gorgeous and memorable, and every place we stayed at was great. But when it came time for our last trip, there was only one place we considered returning to—Sunset Villa... This is a lovely resort that is very clean with a welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff. There are several accommodations which are tastefully furnished, but the rooms are very dated. There was only one outlet we could access and, everything was plugged into it. We had to take turns charging our phones, cameras, etc. There is free Wi-Fi, but it... More

Unfortunately, our time was running short, so we were only able to stay here for one night; we felt very welcomed the moment we step foot inside. Dinner and breakfast was delicious and fresh and wi-fi was included in the rate. The hotel overlook the vastness of the sea and although the room was a bit dated, it was very... More

I have to say I'm a bit surprised about the high ratings this place got from other visitors. Yes, the owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself has seen better days. The rooms' interior is extremely dated and the toilet flush and shower didn't really work. We had breakfast which was delicious. It's good value... More

We are very sorry for the water problem , the Treasure Beach area had been without water from the National Water Commission for over a week, and our tanks were so low we had to turn off the pumps from midnight to 6 am for one night, this is the first time that has ever happened, the water truck did...
