We booked at the last minute for a stopover on the way to Ottawa. When we called we were advised that the hotel was not fully open for the season, but that we could be accommodated if we only wanted a room. The rate quoted was excellent, and we booked expecting a regular room and minimal service. The room actually... More

We booked a 2 night stay through Travelzoo at the South Algonquin Resort. I followed the link in the details prior to booking and saw favorable reviews under the White Pine name. It seems the resort may have changed hands yet again. The photos on the website show quite nice suites with a 4 poster bed, a sitting area, large... More

I visited the website prior to booking and saw all the amenities offered. The reality was not what was offered. The beach is not on site it is about 2 miles away on an unmarked road that led to a beach with an unfinished dock and an old dilapidated cottage. No bathroom facilities on site and no sign o paddle... More

We were offered a really cheap stay on the weekend of January 17th, or 18th and for the price I was not expecting too much, but wanted to get away for some peace and quiet anyway. The place was very clean and Lori who looks after pretty much everything there was fantastic. The room was a lot nicer than I... More

My husband and I stopped in for a drink and a bite to eat New Year's Day. We watched the outdoor hockey game on one of the brand new t.v.'s in a newly opened bar area. My husband shot a game of pool with one of the guest's staying there. Our plate of Nacho's were great, and also reasonably priced.... More
