We stayed two nights in this motel. The room was very clean. The motel is an older building; wallpaper was peeling in places, and there were a few dings in the door, but who notices that when you look out the window and see the sun setting over the lake! What a view! We had kids and a dog, so... More

We were staying in Combermere, yet drove the extra 18 kms to Barry's Bay to eat at the Ash Grove Inn. This proved to be a rewarding decision for us. The dining room was spacious an nicely decorated, with several tables having a window view of the lake. It was wintry outside, but warm & cozy inside. The waitress was... More

The Inn faces Lake Kamaniskeg just south of Barry's Bay. The view is beautiful and is a nice place to relax. It is peaceful, quiet and set at the edge of the forest. The luxury rooms with a gas fireplace are the best rooms and the fireplace doubles as the source of heat for the room. Very nice and it... More

Was there for the weekend with 2 of my boys. We really liked the spot...we stayed in a luxury suite...and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly...the view was great...the breeze off the lake was perfect...swimming & fishing within walking distance...and the restaurant was very good. Great spot for a weekend.

The difference in price between the standard and luxury was quite substantial and not justified. The room was clean but basic and renovated in comparison to the standard room. This is a motel off the side of the highway and nothing more. The $139 that I was quoted apparently was an error on their part because that is the winter... More

We were in Barry's Bay for a wedding after looking at the offerings in the area and reading reviews we decided on the Ash Grove . We opted for the pricier Newly renovated suites the rooms are pet free and roomier , newer just sounded like money well spent for $149 plus tax. Some of our family opted for the... More

Stayed at Ash Grove for a one night get-a-way on the Easter weekend. This was not exactly the quaint accommodation it appeared to be in pictures. The wallpaper and furnishing were not just outdated, but in need of repair. Paper was peeling from the walls in several places. Other spots had mould showing through. The bathroom had black mould all... More

Out of town motel with external door to room and parking outside. We had a basic room which was adequate, however the furnishings were well used. There was a fridge in the room. The view of the lake was lovely and a picnic area with benches in front of the motel was very quiet when we visited. A restaurant is... More

Five of us stayed a night during a 5 day snowmobile tour. Had rooms 1 and 2 and found them clean and comfortable. We cooked dinner on arrival in the well equipped kitchen in room 1 and enjoyed a great breakfast in the restaurant the next mooring. It was right on the trail and met our needs very well.

Found this spot on Trip Advisor. It accepted dogs, and the price was right. We checked in and were pleased by the cleanliness and comfort. We were in the regular rooms, not the luxury suites, due to having the dog (understandable). It was nice that they turned on the heater in the room to warm it for us, even though... More
