Visited this hotel for short break during stunning weather in May. Rooms average, dinner VERY poor. Beware, menu bore no relation to that offered on website, poor choice and same menu 2 nights running. Staff indifferent, bar ran out of beer. Some evidence of recent refurbishment, but improvements to fittings and fixtures mean little if the fare and staffing are... more

May have seen better days regarding decor but but could not have been beaten for cleanliness and friendly staff.Very surprised that other reviews were not happy with food.Seafood starter on Sunday night was fantastic and we compare this to Loch Fyne Oyster Bar which is one of the best on the West Coast. We will definately be back here. more

We stayed at the Morar Hotel for 3 nights on a cut price deal offered on the hotel web site. This proved extremely good value with 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast and one night bed and breakfast for less than £100. The hotel has the most fantastic location and the views from the bedroom and dining room were truly... more

Having booked a few days in the Highlands, my Partner and I were particularly looking forward to staying at the Morar Hotel. The view from the hotel is spectacular although with not that many guests it seemed staying we managed to get what was probably the only room without a sea view, but we we looking over the hills which... more

This hotel is situated in one of the most scenic areas in Scotland overlooking the sands of Morar beach. Our room had a superb view but that was it. Their web site advertises a a warm welcome with true highland hospitality. When we arrived late afternoon after a 4 hour drive we were asked to settle our bill, and asked... more

We stayed at the Morar Hotel for two nights in September. First things first, the hotel is very convenient for the Mallaig train from Fort William or Glasgow, literally just across the road. The room was clean and equipped as promised, en-suite, TV, beautiful sea view. To be honest though it just didn't live up to the £110 per night... more

One of the many sad, old, slightly smelly and quite badly run hotels you see in the regions. Stayed here in early July and the place was pretty empty, it's not hard to see why. Location- It's an amazing spot near some of the most amazing beaches I have ever seen. Bedrooms- Nothing outrageously bad, but for £100 for a... more

The hotel is in the best location you could wish for, so it took real effort to create such a terrible experience. The hotel - very run down, poorly furnished and has no atmosphere. The staff - miserable and unfriendly - foreign staff excepted - but then again they can hardly speak English so I hope their smiles were sincere.... more
