We just stayed here one night but really enjoyed it. The hosts were so friendly and even picked us up from the station. The rooms were spotlessly clean, comfortable, and had nice views. The breakfast was delicious. No criticisms at all. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Easy to book online, very prompt replies. After a very long drive we arrived and were given a very warm welcome. The room was good and after a very good nights sleep the breakfast was of the same high standard. We stayed one night but would be happy to stay longer.

Our experience was like staying at a friend's house. From the minute we contacted them, they were helpful and attentive. Rooms very clean and taken care to the detail. Amazing breakfast and tips. Great location to take the ferry to Skye the next day! :)

My sister and I stayed at Heatherlea for two nights in May. We would go back in a flash! All email arrangements were completed promptly, and we felt very confident about our choice. Nick met us at the Mallaig train station, and drove us to Heatherlea which is about a mile out of town. On the way he drove us... More

Stayed in Mallaig for one night. Nick and his wife are more than welcoming, very warm and nice persons. In addition they cooked a mouth-watering breakfast!:) The bedroom is very clean, with a very comfortable bed and very nice views. Watch out for sunsets:) Highly recommendable:)

Despite the appalling weather for over half our stay, we were literally pampered by the owners who made us so welcome that we forgot about the weather!! The food was excellent and the service fantastic, even getting a special tea for my wife. Their local knowledge was most useful to us as we wished to revisit a beach that we... More

This B&B was the perfect stop for our first night in Scotland. Tucked away into the countryside, with a cozy, clean and comfortable room with private bath. The hosts were very friendly and made sure any questions we had were answered and gave us recommendations for dinner in town. We were able to take a nice morning stroll to the... More

We stayed in a relatively small twin room in March. It was a bit cramped for two people, but for one night it didn't matter. Lindsay and Nick were responsive and kind from the first moment we inquired about a room via e-mail. We usually shy away from bed and breakfasts ... because we tend to like big old hotels... More

We stayed at Heatherlea in mid of January, and stayed in the double room with the views over the sea.The hosts nick and Lindsay were very helpful right from picking us up from the station to guiding us of the nearby places of interest, and where we could go with the kids' buggy. The room was of high standard, and... More

Nick Murray and his lovely wife Lindsay were very helpful and welcoming hosts during our overnight stay at their Heatherlea B&B near Mallaig enroute to the Isle of Skye. They were quick to help us with our heavy luggage upon arrival and to make us feel much at home. Our twin room was small but very nice and the two... More
