Second time at this B&B in Mallaig, was every bit as good as the first time. Jeanette fantastic host and the breakfast second to none. She couldn't do enough for you. Fantastic views across the harbour and only a short, but flat, stroll into the town centre.

A short distance from the centre of Mallaig [walkable if you're feeling energetic, but we weren't and there's plenty of free parking along the road in] and just across the road from the harbour. Jeanette Watt made us feel welcome at once. She turned out to be the granddaughter of a great friend of Gavin Maxwell so immediately hit it... More

Well positioned with lovely views of the harbour and hassle free parking. Jeanette made us very welcome and the room was very comfortable and the bathroom well equipped with the best towels we had all holiday! Breakfast was excellent and Jeanette could not have been more attentive. Would certainly stay there again.

Can't fault the Western Isles in any way - our host Jeanette was very welcoming and helpful, the room and en-suite was very comfortable and had the kippers for breakfast which was a nice change to the usual.

We spent three days at Western Isles, and Jeanette was wonderful. We were two couples and had two rooms. The service was great, and Jeanette was always ready with a smile, and helpful advice. The view from the B&B is stupendous, and we never tired of watching the sunset from the window. This would always be our first choice in... More

We booked the room over the phone, with no hassel of deposit and other booking formalities.. Mrs Jeanette was kind to confirm the booking and assured us the availibility. Rooms were well maitained, clean, and well presented. Bathrooms are clean... in fact better that other hotels claiming to be 3 Star. Breakfast is served very well. Very friendly, welcoming and... The Watt family bent over backwards to make our stay in Mallaig (very wet, Mallaig) comfortable. The room was excellent and the breakfast overwhelming (try the kippers). Thoroughly recommended. Try the family ferry to Knoydart too (on a fine day): the afternoon ferry is more in the way of a wildlife cruise.

We stayed in Mallaig one day and we rested there, at Western Isles Guest House. Mrs. Jeanette treated us so kindly that we felt like home. The room was absolutely wonderful, with a special view of the harbour. The bathroom clean, a big supply of towels, everything was perfect. Mrs Jeanette gave us precious advice about restaurants, coffee houses, places... More

We had a great stay at Western Isles guest house. Jeanette was wonderful - so kind and friendly. Our room was not large but had everything we needed, with a beautiful en-suite bathroom. There were extensive options for breakfast. We were abler to check in right when we got there and Jeanette gave us a choice of two rooms. We'd... More

Very helpful owners, mother and daughter team, room small but spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had an ensuite room and were really happy with the facilities, the bathroom was very modern with walk in shower and very clean indeed, there was also a storage shelf for my makeup bag. They also gave us early access to the room which I... More
