Good place to stay. Good breakfast. Big room, clean and nice window.-view. Also the location is good- nearby Apple cross . I had a room That was also available for people with a handicap- wheel chair acces. NOT That I need this.

I was leading a group of hill walkers, and they were stopping at the hotel. I wasn't, yet the owner could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The food was good, there was an atmosphere in the bar, (so often missing in Highland establishments), and the beer most welcome! I am back up North again next week, and I... More

Used the Lochcarron hotel a few times as our local watering hole whilst staying for the week in a cottage on the loch. Friendly welcoming people and the locals were chatty and cheerful. Great views out the front too. Good place for a cold beer and a bit of banter. Don't feed the black Labradors though 😀

We went up to Strathcarron for some hill walking and the Lochcarron hotel is in an ideal location, with such friendly staff and are dog friendly. We arrived after a hard day in the hills to a very welcome pint in the pub then up to our rooms to shower and change. The room was enormous with a lovely view... More

Great location on the edge of Loch Carron and clearly a popular meeting place for locals. Big room with large comfortable bed, and all the basics there. Straight forward menu. A little more attention to keeping the dining area spotless (sticky sided chair) would make a difference.

This place needs a refurb. The rooms are old and tired. The decor dated and an average breakfast but...... when available the seafood is cheap and good value. There is bags of atmosphere and the staff were chatty and helpfull. This is far from luxury but if you like rustic food and a great warm welcome then this is v... More

3 days excursion end of May 2015 42 years after my first visit to the Loch Carron Hotel I find myself returning to this out of the way hostilary. Out of the way it may have been, empty it wasnt, far from it. There was at least thirty travellers sat around the dinning tables eagerly tucking into their evening meal.... More

We didn't stay at the Lochcarron Hotel but in a cottage a mile or so away. I travelled with my wife, Father in law and very timid Greyhound. We arrived on the Saturday in the piuring rain and when we found out the hotel was dog friendly thought it a good idea to eat there which is what we did... More

Good food, rooms a little outdated, loved the black labs in the pub. Great view of the loch. Be sure to go to see the Lochcarron weavers nearby. Very friendly folks checking us in/out and in the dining area.
