Just back from a 2 night stay. We travelled up for a family wedding 25 miles away.on arrival I found the reception area extremely untidy and not at all giving a good first impression, when a member of staff finally came to attend to us although she was very friendly she really hadn't a clue about our booking The Room... We stayed here one night and were very comfortable. The room was very spacious and clean with a large ensuite. It was all very dated, particularly the ensuite, which has a large Jacuzzi bath which was very discoloured and the taps dripped continually. That said, the price was very reasonable, beakfast was very good and the staff were very pleasant.... More

My partner and I have stayed at the Queensbury twice now (December '13 and March '14) and we love the hotel! It has so much character and history being an 18th Century Coaching Inn, the rooms are tastefully decorated with really comfortable beds and quality furniture. The owners are lovely, they'll go out of their way to make sure you... More

Only had one night here, 22/3. We were able to find hotel easily, and parked in a bay opposite, hotel is situated on a nice street with a few shops either side. Check in was swift, earlier than we expected but it wasn't a problem, very friendly young receptionist, we were given our keys and directions to room 33. No... More

We stayed at the Queensbury for new year - Couldnt have been happier, Thanks to Tracy, Lisa and Roger and indeed all the staff even down to the domestic staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food is amazing and so rasonably priced. Now need to go to weight watchers. Going back next year for more xxx Elise... More

We stayed for two nights and they were very enjoyable. This is an old coaching house; privately owned and you can tell the owners are refurbishing it slowly. It is very clean and the beds very comfortable. The food is excellent and good value for money. Most of the staff are young but very efficient and friendly. We intend to... More

The stairways to and from the rooms were shabby and smelt of smoke. These were the only faults I found. The staff were welcoming, friendly and worked hard. The food was really nice and value for money. The hotel was quite at night. Because of my work I had to leave at 0515 so didn't get breakfast, the staff kindly... More

Its a small ex "Inn", privately owned where the owners & staff can be seen running around. If you think about basic, but clean & for an overnight stay, where you can drink & eat cheaply but well, then this could be for you. The (mainly) young staff, were quite brilliant & informative - referring us to the best local... More
