Stayed at this hotel on the 12 th/13th July on route to a function in the local area and so glad we did, it's a fantastic find a real gem. Food, service, and rooms superb and good value for money. We'll done to the owner and staff.

I travel to Aberdeen a lot for work, but this time my meeting was outside Aberdeen (near Inverurie) so I thought I would try somewhere different from the standard chain hotels. I am glad I did! I arrived with a colleague around 7.30pm on a weekday night, and although the initial welcome was not the warmest (hence 4 out of... More

Having been before, I was very much looking forward to our lunch as part of my husband's birthday. Unfortunately, they had run out of burgers! At 1pm on Sunday, this was very disappointing as nobody told us this before giving us the menus. My husband had been looking forward to his burger, which he has had before and thought it... More

We stayed here for one night on 13th February (2014) and were very comfortable. Our room was spacious and it was very quiet. The evening meal was excellent and we had a good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. The price for two for Dinner Bed and Breakfast was the same as for Bed at the nearest Premier Inn!

I stayed here on business last week during the very stormy weather all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Dinner was homely local fare Cullen skink soup was superb followed by wonderfully tasty Venison. Room was very well appointed, clean and comfortable with an excellent shower. There was a power cut in the morning but the chef and waitress had... More

Broke our trip south from the highlands and booked the Bennachie Lodge as it was convenient for the following day. First impression was a little bit underwhelming - no reception, and booking in done over the bar! However, things soon got a lot better as we made our way to our very cosy room at the top of the hotel,... More

Good points first. Characterful building. Spotlessly clean. Decent food (evening meal in the bar and an excellent 'full Scottish' for breakfast). Comfortable room. Friendly staff. You'd think that would be enough, but.... I always knock off a star for a hotel which decides to operates without a reception desk and asks you to check in at the bar. I arrive... More

A family group went to this hotel for lunch on a beautiful hot Sunday and it was so nice. There is a safe garden with slides etc for children, tables for everyone. The menu is good and caters for all diets and allergies and is also well priced. If you are looking for somewhere to go where you can eat... More
