This was a very nice evening and a beautiful setting and excellent food. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to photograph the ruins and left too early to photograph it in the morning. It was quite pricey and probably worth it but for me I would have been better off at a cheaper place, just to rest my head. If you... More

Kildrummy Castle Hotel is a top-notch inn. Friendly staff (especially Fiona - some of the younger help could be more knowledgeable), excellent food, and a drop-dead-gorgeous building in a fabulous wooded setting. All this, plus it overlooked a romantic ruin. This was a major splurge for us, but we really enjoyed it. The only fault, and it was a serious... More

We attended a silver wedding event at Kildrummy where the rooms were all taken by guests at the function. the function started with afternoon tea and continued through dinner and after-dinner dancing in the generous size main hall. The event went beautifully with attentive and pleasant staff - food was good and had been ordered in advance from a limited... More

After visiting the area's castles and sights, you owe it to yourself to stay in this 19th century, gentleman's ( industrialist's) country home. The rooms are good. The food is excellent as is the service. Don't miss the castle gardens and a walk through ruined Kildrummy Castle. Highly recommended

Wonderful find in a beautiful setting. The best maintained old property I have ever stayed in, lots of old fashioned qualities from floral sitting room to magnificent stair case. All staff we encounted were so helpful & friendly. The evening meal was very tasty with seasonal produce & the vegetarian crepe was delicious. Even got to see the elusive red... More

We thought we were lost, but found a delightful old mansion that is now a hotel. We loved the place, the incredible gardens and grounds filled with pheasants, wood doves, birds, squirrels and rabbits. We watched them at breakfast and during our evening happy hour in the lounge. It's just a couple minutes walk over to the Kildrummy Castle ruins... More

I was surprised to see the negative reviews about unfriendly staff. My wife and I stayed there the night of June 2 and were the last people to arrive that day. We found the staff to be quite engaging, very helpful and they made our stay a delight. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. There are many "castles" in Scotland... More

We were absolutely thrilled with the experience of staying at Kildrummy Castle for two nights. Our room was large, well appointed, with views of the gorgeous gardens and adjoining castle ruins. The staff could not have been more helpful, and were most professional. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious, served in a lovely dining room. We have been... More

The grounds are beautiful! The building is beautiful! Everything looked magical until we realized they gave us the wrong room. Then we asked for help... nope no go! They did have a room that would fit our needs and wasn't currently booked - but could we have it? Yes if we paid more! So instead of helping out their customers... More
