If you are looking for the picture postcard country manor hotel, this is your spot. From the grand entry, stunning staircase, three receptions, lovely gardens and great service, good food, easy access to anywhere, particularly the Dufftown area distilleries, stay here. If Edwardian manor is your style, this is it.

We traveled with a group of 8 which presented its own challenge. Our original plan was to stay in Aberdeen or Elgin so we could be closer to the scotch distilleries. However, when researching properties 2 months before, we could not find a hotel that could accommodate 8, 4 double rooms. I mention this for 2 reasons: 1) the hotel... More

Set in a quiet location close to Kildrummy Castle ruins and Kildrummy gardens this is a lovely country house hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The food in the restaurant was tasty. I enjoyed my room overlooking the castle ruins. Kildrummy is located on the Castle Trail and is convenient to many historic locations. It is... More

This hotel would have received a 5 star rating from me had the rooms been more consistent in quality, which I will explain later. We arrived on a Sunday late afternoon. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The grounds are beautiful with a stunning view of the ruins of Kildrummy Castle. The entrance is stunning with a long... More

Very nice place near a castle ruin, one hour from Aberdeen, and two hours from Inverness. Gorgeous location near Cairngorm in the Forest overlooking the ruins of the real Kildrummy Castle of Jacobite historical significance. Everything you eat or drink gets tacked on to your bill so be careful if your budget is limited. Its castle gardens are beautiful and... More

Wonderful hotel with wonderful staff. Stayed here on a recent business trip to Aberdeen. Had to stay out as there was an exhibition on in the city. But very glad I did. Ate in the hotel in the evening and would certainly recommend the steak.

We spent two nights here, using it as a base for touring around. We had a lovely room and ate two dinners in the restaurant, besides having a lovely afternoon tea on our second day. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful; the furnishings are wonderful; and the atmosphere is charming. We're really glad we found this place! (One... More

This was a very nice evening and a beautiful setting and excellent food. Unfortunately, we arrived too late to photograph the ruins and left too early to photograph it in the morning. It was quite pricey and probably worth it but for me I would have been better off at a cheaper place, just to rest my head. If you... More
