Although the hotel is not directly part of Kildrummy Castle, since it's a ruin, the hotel is located in an old manor, right next to the ruin with a beautiful private garden and a Victorian-era atmosphere. Without asking, we were offered a free upgrade on our arrival. The dinner was delicious, one of the best Haggis I have ever had.... More

This was our first visit to Kildrummy since the new owners had taken over. They were very welcoming and attentive hosts. There have been some subtle improvements to Kildrummy. This includes new décor and extension to the public areas. The former office has been converted into a TV lounge where you are allowed to take your dogs. Cleanliness and standards... More

Booking rooms for business at short notice on the internet can be very hit or miss. I once spent a night in an establishment near Dundee where the clientèle spent most of the nigh tfighting in the corridors. Ever since then I have booked my own rooms. Even so what looks good on screen can often fail to live up... More

This was a one night winter break at a weekend. Beautiful setting in light snow, would love to see the gardens in summer. Stunning old house, with beautiful entrance and log fires burning! We received a very warm welcome, it felt like we were house guests rather than in a hotel. Comfortable seating areas to sit and read in, soft... More

The Hotel is nestled away amongst trees, and it's so quiet and peaceful. It's like stepping back in time, for any visiting they must sit at the fire in the drawing room at least once while they are there. Such a special experience and very homely, the staff especially Fiona were absolutely fantastic, so courteous and friendly. Dinner was spectacular... More

we arrived Christmas Eve for three nights. A lovely warm hotel with many beautiful features. Wonderful food by a chef who considers your dietary requirements. Extremely friendly and attentive, but not intrusive, staff. Accommodation so comfortable. If you want peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings you will certainly get it at the Kildrummy Castle Hotel. A lovely Christmas.

We had booked in for the Christmas Day and night, in order to be able to really relax, and in the magnificent surroundings and atmosphere of the Kildrummy Castle Hotel, that is exactly what we did. The ambience is terrific. The lounge is roomy, light and comfy with a cheery and welcoming log fire, the rooms are spacious and feel... More

Kildrummy Castle Hotel is unique. If you want to experience what it is like to live in a stately home in the Highlands, this is your chance. The Hotel has so much atmosphere, and the staff are very welcoming. We have stayed twice in the last few years, and the hotel has seen a noticeable refurbishment recently, so that the... More

My husband surprised me for my birthday by taking me to the Kildrummy Castle Hotel for a meal. This was my first visit to Kildrummy, but will definitely not be my last. The hotel ambience is exquisite. Imagine an evening at Downton Abbey, and you won't be far wrong. The staff have obviously been trained to a very high standard,... More

We had a lovely experience at Kildrummy with noticeable attention to detail from the owners Real fires and candles in all public rooms and the Christmas decorations were plentiful and tasteful. This hotel has so many original features and the view from our room was beautiful in the winter sun with pheasants and hares spotted in the grounds. Dinner was... More
