Wonderful find in a beautiful setting. The best maintained old property I have ever stayed in, lots of old fashioned qualities from floral sitting room to magnificent stair case. All staff we encounted were so helpful & friendly. The evening meal was very tasty with seasonal produce & the vegetarian crepe was delicious. Even got to see the elusive red... More

We thought we were lost, but found a delightful old mansion that is now a hotel. We loved the place, the incredible gardens and grounds filled with pheasants, wood doves, birds, squirrels and rabbits. We watched them at breakfast and during our evening happy hour in the lounge. It's just a couple minutes walk over to the Kildrummy Castle ruins... More

I was surprised to see the negative reviews about unfriendly staff. My wife and I stayed there the night of June 2 and were the last people to arrive that day. We found the staff to be quite engaging, very helpful and they made our stay a delight. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. There are many "castles" in Scotland... More

We were absolutely thrilled with the experience of staying at Kildrummy Castle for two nights. Our room was large, well appointed, with views of the gorgeous gardens and adjoining castle ruins. The staff could not have been more helpful, and were most professional. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious, served in a lovely dining room. We have been... More

The grounds are beautiful! The building is beautiful! Everything looked magical until we realized they gave us the wrong room. Then we asked for help... nope no go! They did have a room that would fit our needs and wasn't currently booked - but could we have it? Yes if we paid more! So instead of helping out their customers... More

I travel extensively both in the UK and overseas and I can honestly say it is a real pleasure to return to Kildrummy Castle. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble. Food is exquisite and special mention must go to Elise who is friendly without being overbearing and clearly takes pride in everything she... More

When I telephoned to book for dinner, the receptionist was friendly and asked if anyone in the group had special dietary requirements and I was able to inform her that this applied to one of our group. When we arrived at the hotel after a lovely scenic drive through Aberdeenshire we were impressed by the lovely gardens and the lovely... More

We expected the hotel to be much nicer than it was. We found a dirty sock almost immediately after being shown to our room. The hotel staff were not nice or helpful. We found the evening staff person to be quite awful and she ruined our stay. Other people at the hotel commnted on observing how nasty she was. Breakfast... More

We have been traveling in Scotland for a month and have lovely, helpful innkeepers, except for the Kildrummy Castle Hotel. Here we found the morning staff to be irritable and begrudging when asked for help. One of the evening staff, Elise, was just obnoxious and rude. Elise was so hostile and unfriendly that it colored everything else about our stay... More

We are sorry this gentleman got so vexed when I did my duty as a manager and informed him he was not allowed to go behind the bar. The other guests present in the bar at the time were so shocked they told they me that they would have told him if I hadn’t entered the bar at that time.... More
