We were made very welcome when we arrived and the whole house had a lovely relaxed atmosphere partly due to all the care and attention to detail lavished on the house over the years. Our room was big and comfortable and in the morning when we went down to breakfast a fire was lit in the dining room. There was... More

So pleased to find such an exceptional guest house; we had a lovely, comfortable room..Church View. An incredible view across the valley, absolutely stunning with a dusting of snow! There were lots of thoughtful touches to the room; excellent quality bathroom toiletries; a handy cafetiere with filter coffee and a comprehensive selection of quality teas. Breakfast was served in a... More

Immediately you walk through the front door you get the feeling of fantastic Karma from the house. We were lucky enough to have the large front bedroom and ensuite although all the rooms had their own character. We were a group of twelve friends and were made to feel very welcome by Ann and Peter, the Yorkshire full breakfast was... More

A truly five star venue with buitiful views across the valley. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, I slept like a log. The house is a grand Georgian style with high ceilings, good sized rooms and very nice gardens. The parking was very safe and I noticed security cameras overlooking the various car parking spots. Peter And Anne really have put... More

A warm welcome and rooms of a very high standard! A lot of thought has gone into the hospitality side of the rooms which was much appreciated ! A good choice of breakfast and produced to a good standard! The only small issue for us was the booking in time of 4.30, we thought this was a bit late and... More

Sunnybank is situated on a hill, just away from Holmfirth centre. A stroll up after a good meal and wine is just right. Our room was number 1 suite and as soon as you enter the room you will know that it is the right choice. Every thing to make a comfortable stay has been thought of and perfected. After... More

We didn't need to bring our own toiletries as it was all available to use. Earplugs, bottled water even eye make up remover!... More

We booked this on the strength of other reviews and can now add our review and our recommendation. We came to Holmfirth to see a concert at the Picturedrome and decided to make a long weekend of it. The house was quite tricky to find with a building truck obscuring the steep narrow lane at our approach. So look for... More
