i would recommend this inn for a stay in holmfirth, it's right in the town center and nowhere is far to walk, the breakfast is amazing. and the meals are very good value. the staff are friendly and always try to help if you want to go anywhere and not sure how to get there

A very nice stay. The hotel was ideally placed for everything we needed to do. Lovely bar area for meals. Very clean place. My only observation is that I think the room needed a bit of an update although it was very clean. Positioning is great for town and the concert venue next door. Well worth a visit

I stayed here for one night with a friend as we where visiting the Holmfirth Vineyard and wanted to stay local so we could comfortably have a drink. We arrived early and the room wasn't ready so we went and have some lunch while we waited, when we came back he room was ready for us. The lady on reception... More

My husband and I booked in for two nights with friends. We had stayed before and knew it was an average hotel with parking (which is something some hotels in Holmfirth don't have). Check in was easy and the staff were friendly enough although when asked if the rooms had hairdryers, the man we asked didn't know. The rooms have... More

We were booked in for B&B after watching Paul Carrack and his band (again) at the Pictiuredrome next door, and what a pleasant stay we had. The room was neat and tidy, the bathroom larger than we expected, but the real highlight was the wonderful breakfast - with excellent locally sourced and extremely tasty eggs, sausages and black pudding. We... More

Husband tried the beer in the local brewery across in the Nook but declared beer in hotel bar best of the lot!!! V good evening meal, reasonably... More

This review is the type that owners/management will get every now and then but need to act on them to make staff aware of little things done or not, things said in view of customers can make a difference to what could have been a good review. Incidentally, have been in hospitality trade so have received a review like this... More

This was our 2nd visit in eight months and on each occasion we were attending a concert at the Picturedrome. The Old Bridge is ideally situated, adjacent to the music venue. Our room was clean and there was a good supply of tea/coffee/biscuits. It was in need of refurbishment but this did not affect our stay. We ate in the... More

Stayed 13th July 2015. The room was simply too hot 27.5C at 1:30 in the night - simply due lack of ventilation. . Otherwise good food, (What a pie!!!) nice selection of beer, friendly and VERY helpful staff.
