Good value at £60 for 2 people b & b. The location suited our needs very well but I would have been prepared to pay say another £20 or so to take it up a notch or two. ie for little touches like bottled water in the room, larger towels, extra pillows and a better quality breakfast with more choice.‎ more

I made the mistake of using this hotel, if you are going to book, totally against my advice, then make absolutely sure you have written confirmation of the booking. I visited twice in person to make sure it was legitimate and the manager seemed friendly enough, so I advised guests at our wedding to stay there, as it was convenient... more

Our experience was very positive. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room (no. 9) was nicely decorated and comfortable - in fact I've never slept so well in a hotel. The breakfast is very good, with excellent service from the staff. Located just a few minutes walk from Godalming town centre, a bonus from a non-driver such as... more

Stayed here for one hight when attending a training course in the town. Hotel very clean, en-suite immaculate, bed comfy, but other services basic. Breakfast was adequate - no dinner on offer. Good value for an overnight stay, but I wouldn't be very keen to stay for longer. more

We stayed here for 3 nights while attending a friend's wedding and we found the place to be charming and provided us with exactly what we needed. Breakfast was good and the decoration of the place was modern and bright. It is located a five minute walk away from the town centre which was a beautiful place. For the money... more

I had a very positive experience., The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well decorated. The interior of the hotel is beautifully decorated - the lights in the hallways are exquisite. The breakfast is very good, though the breakfast area gets quite busy but I guess that just reflects the popularity of the hotel.... more

Initially there was some confusion with my booking, which the staff dealt with courteously. On the second day of my three day stay, Mrs McNeil the owner came to my room and suddenly demanded full payment in a very intimidating manner. Bizarrely, accusing me of lying and being; "the next thing to a criminal" The hotel was shabby with dirty... more

I stayed in a small single room as was part of a hen weekend in Godalming therefore I knew the room would not be large which was not a problem. The bedroom was however, absolutely TINY - I would say no bigger than an small/average bathroom. I have never stayed in anything as small but this wasn't the main problem... more

I have 2 standard rooms in the hotel and they are both quite small, however, this is reflected in the price of the room. These 2 rooms have wash-hand basins TV's, hairdryers, tables, kettles and everything else you would expect. Unfortunately this guest stayed on one of the hottest days of the summer, reaching 29-30 C. I checked the window...

The room was plush, clean, modern and well-furnished, though the DVD player didn't work. Breakfast was very nice if a little small. Unfortunately the welcome didn't match the building. The chap who signed us in was quite surly, didn't smile and disappeared out to the back while we were filling in the paperwork. Having said that, the owner was very... more

I replaced the manager in January and have had very good feedback on his friendliness and helpfulness so I hope this is issue the guest had is resolved. The remote controls on the TVs are not very intuitive and have to be put into DVD mode for the DVD player to work. The same applies to digital TVs reception. A...

We stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel, and we were delighted with the standard of accomodation, and excellent service we received. The hotel has just been refurbished to a very high standard, and our room was extremely comfortable, with sleigh bed, flat screen TV, tea & coffee facilities, and an excellent walk-in shower. Our room (no 2) overlooked the... more
