Clean, airy lobby area with seated area could relax in. Our room on ground floor was large and spacious with very comfy big mahogany bed. One room out of the six couples staying room was small but I suppose they can't all be large. Whilst breakfast was good and you could choose with regard to your cooked breakfast I was... More

This very ordinary little hotel is the ideal place to stay when in the Godalming area. Unlike the sterile, very ordinary, Premier Inn up the road you feel welcomed and the manager is exceedingly helpful. There are no frills but it is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. It depends what you want sterility or comfort and helpful manager whether you... More

This looks like a converted house with pretensions. Parking was fine, the room was only adequate, being small, with a tiny window and thin walls. Nevertheless we slept well in comfortable beds. We needed to spend one evening in the hotel and despite several attempts by a well-meaning staff member we were unable to receive constant TV. Breakfast created a... More

Usually we score very similar to Premier Inn and for most of the year have received higher ratings in Tripadvisor. The important difference is that they charge at least 50% more for a room than we do. We do not charge extra for breakfast and do not charge for special requests like gluten free or coffee refills. We provide complementary... More

Stayed for one night at this small pleasant Hotel. Very friendly, room large enough for a couple of nights stay. I had no issues with noise and rested well on the very comfortable non squeaky bed. Only drawback for me is no evening meals, but this was easily remedied by a very friendly pub a couple of minutes walk away... More

Stayed here mid week and despite a late deal I can only give three stars. The hotel has no bar and no evening meal option but you can nip down the road to the Leather Bottle pub which does very good value snacks - exceptional value actually. I digress, The Goldalming is used by tradesmen mid week has limited charm,... More

I stayed here on business, my room was tiny but clean and comfortable. Breakfast had to be ordered by time expected to eat during the previous evening and there is no restaurant. The hotel is not located in the town centre, there is a local pub within a few yards that serves basic food and a beefeater within a short... More

We stayed one night as we were visiting friends nearby. The accommodation is clean and nicely decorated. A lick of paint here and there would help but it was fine. Our room was clean and tidy with a nice bathroom. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and a small bottle of wine as well as soaps. Towels were nice. On the downside... More

We have stayed at the Godalming Hotel twice now and have found the family room ideal for our needs. The breakfast area is airy and nicely decorated. The location is brilliant as our daughter lives nearby. We recommend this small hotel for easy commute into London as well as handy for the local Surrey Hills etc.
