We stayed one night as we were visiting friends nearby. The accommodation is clean and nicely decorated. A lick of paint here and there would help but it was fine. Our room was clean and tidy with a nice bathroom. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and a small bottle of wine as well as soaps. Towels were nice. On the downside... More

We have stayed at the Godalming Hotel twice now and have found the family room ideal for our needs. The breakfast area is airy and nicely decorated. The location is brilliant as our daughter lives nearby. We recommend this small hotel for easy commute into London as well as handy for the local Surrey Hills etc.

When we arrived – firstly we drove past the hotel without seeing it – it doesn’t really stand out as a hotel .Then having to wait outside a locked front door didn’t create the best first impression either. However once inside the rooms were nice ( we were in a group of of three couples.) . Access to the car... More

We stayed here for one night for a wedding in Witley. Really comfortable beds. Immaculately clean. Good shower. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. I would stay here again and recommend for business or leisure.

If you are travelling alone and book the basic, non en suite single room here the you should be aware that the facilities are very poor for this room. The room is small and tight, has a wash basin in the room (right next to you head in bed, I hit my head a couple of times in the night).... More

Well, I remember this guest had 2 rooms and one was cancelled at the last minute which I had to charge for since it was well past the cancellation time. It seems this is the true motivation for this bad review, but however I will address the points raised. Firstly regarding fire safely - there is no fire risk in... More

Was a pleasure to make Godalming hotel my home for a couple of weeks! The staff are friendly and hard working, I will certainly recommend them! The area is lovely too! A lake, canal and beautiful buildings.

This 'hotel' looked great on the internet and great value. However should not call itself a hotel, definitely a B&B and not one which we were that impressed with! Many of our family were staying and on arrival were not helped with any luggage, some of us staying on the third floor. One of the family rooms had been sprayed with... More

I could have easily accommodated you in a different room but you choose not to say anything until you were leaving so never gave me a chance to make your stay more enjoyable which is a shame. The room in question has been completely redecorated since you left. I did however agree with you that the room was not up... More
