The location of the hotel is excellent just across the road from the Wookey Hole caves and mill, the room itself was light and airy and a good size, with tea and coffee and free WiFi, and paying £65 I honestly wasn't expecting luxury, but as a family hotel it left a lot to be desired, booked a room for... In all honesty, the worst place i've stayed at for years. It's essentially a travelodge set up, no soul, no colour... Arrived late to an unlit car park and thought I'd arrived at the wrong location as I thought we were staying in an independent hotel. Overkill on the witch front, huge statue greeting you as you walk in, and... More

We needed a short getaway to recharge our batteries....and get away from everyone! After looking on the net we found a 3 day stay at Wookey Hole for £115 .The hotel looked fun and had good reviews and was only an hours drive away.So we booked it and went 2 days later. It was the best decision we have made.The... More

We'd originally just booked one night but ended up staying two, my 4 year old daughter loved it there. Bedrooms very basic but spacious and clean. Staff were extremely friendly but service in restaurant very slow for breakfast and dinner.

We stayed here for 1 night in February 2012. We booked it last minute and paid £50 for a double room which I think is really good for the room we had. We stayed in room 58 which has 2 windows, one overlooking the car park and one the side of the hotel. The room was big & clean with... More

Great little hotel. Signs a bit confusing - thought it was an attraction at first due to the choice of font, then realised it was the hotel. It was late at night too, so that didn't help. Check in was quick and easy. Breakfast, we decided to get the continental option, and that was fairly normal. Room was well heated,... More

I have stayed here 3 times now, the last being in December. It is exactly the same as a premier inn really if you don't stay in the higher priced rooms however I discovered the luxury family room on my second visit and booked it specifically for my third. It is the only room in the hotel with the balcony... More

This is one of those places that you just know will be nice eventualy. My room was huge but devoid of almost any atmosphere. Very little to break up the plain walls. Breakfast didnt exist as they said there wasnt enough geusts so they hadnt bothered ? I WAS THERE !! I know they were in the middle of introducing... More

After reading some reviews we were expecting to put up with some downsides. We booked a half term break (2 adults and 2 children 6 and 18 months). When we arrived the staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had. The room was a Superior Family with a view of a grass field. The room was very spacious... More

Cynontaf You gain very little by staying at the hotel, the rooms are clean and suitable. That is where it ends the the breakfast is poor, toast you make yourself, but there is only one toaster, and the standard cereal. If you want a cooked breakfast you have to pay extra. The eating experiance is a self serivce/canteen event, the... More
