We came to have dinner after hearing great reviews about the new chef. We were not disappointed. The food was superb, the service was to a high standard. The hotel is such a great experience. A worthwhile visit . more

We had a pre-Christmas family lunch here because my sister lives only a mile away and has no personal transport. Other family members travelled from London and Dorset. We had the £17.99 3-course menu - which, with wine (1 bottle) and coffee, came to about £27 each. The £17.99 did not include vegetables with the main course and cost £3.00... more

Dear Guest I am so sorry to read of your unfortunate experience here at Glencot House. We are currently restructuring our kitchen team and have a new Head Chef and Sous Chef joining from various great establishments in January. Since your review the chef in question who cooked your meal is no longer part of the team at Glencot. There...

We stayed two nights at this hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed and have recommended it to our friends and colleagues. The hotel itself was very relaxing and comfortable and totally unique with lots of quirky features. The food in the restaurant was fabulous and the service was very efficient and friendly. It was such an enoyable experience that we shall... more

Just returned from a 2 night stay 15-17 Novemeber at Millers Glencot House. I left today feeling ripped off, - as the hotel did not deliver anything like the kind of service you would expect for a £135 per night hotel. Our room, (room 11) was very small and cramped with a musky damp smell and had , no hot... more

On the one hand this hotel is so wacky that you might recommend it and fortunately for Glencot the other hotels around are even worse. The hotel is fun and atmospheric but then they are charging real money and so you expect better than shambolic and often rude service. I think hotels like this need fantastic service to overcome the... more

A party of 6 of us stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and I so wanted to love the experience but they sure made it hard. The house itself is beautiful and unique. The curios packed inside its walls give it an otherworldly Alice in Wonderland quality. This is just the sort of place that I would fall in... more

Food disappointing, poorly seasoned and lacking any flavour. Waited half an hour for a cooked breakfast as my wife ordered pancakes.......we were told they take a long time?? Room 8 (four poster room) gloomy due to poor lighting, On a dark October night disappointing to be told light was "dodgy" and could not be repaired. Reading was impossble. Electric radiator... more

We loved this place - so different and charming. The plunge pool in the basement is lots of fun, the cinema is great if a little freaky and the bedrooms are beautiful. It's a visual assault that's for sure but if you're looking for something quirky I'd definitely recommend it. more

We loved this hotel. As you come into the reception you can guess that the place is truly special. The room was a four poster room and it was huge and beautiful. I thoroughly recommend eating in the restaurant: the food was amazing, unfortunately in big contrast with the continental breakfast (the English one was ok). The garden is magical... more
