Despite a plumbing problem that preoccupied the owner somewhat, he was very friendly and chatty and provided good service. The lunch was very good, especially the desserts, everything home made except the bread. Pity about the bread (indifferent sliced brown)

We booked in for a short stay so we could do the Ingleton falls walk. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome. The room we stayed in was excellent, extremely clean and well cared for. We had been upgraded to the fourposter room which of course was a plus. The food was excellent both... More

My wife and I visited the Marton Arms whilst on a long weekend in the Yorkshire Dales over the Bank Holiday and stumbled over this quaint hostelry. It is in a lovely position and the facilities at the bar are good. However it seems that the person behind the bar seems to wander off and everytime someone wants a drink... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights when we were walking the Yorkshire Three Peaks for charity. Despite being a 30 min drive from the start/end point, it was the closest we could get given there were a number of us wanting to stay in the same hotel. Breakfast was nice but nothing to write home about (and was... More

Average room of reasonable size, though the bathroom door lock is broken and I managed to lock myself in. Beds not overly comfy but not too bad. Room was cold. Dinner was a mixed bag, the burgers my husband and step son had were nice enough, but my "carbonara" with unusual wild mushrooms was a joke. A tiny bland pile... More

My very first pub review. My partner and I visit Ingleton in the Yorkshire Dales a few times a year and stay locally in a caravan. In the 5/6 years we have visited the Marton Arms we have always enjoyed the beers/ciders, garden and staff. Each year though it seems someone different is in change. I understand that the present... food very good, bar area good, garden ok but disappointed about some dog mess as we had a 2 yr toddler, staff very friendly and accommodating but sadly the accommodation very poor and NOT worth the money of £80 per night. Room decor dark and old fashioned, and generally just not clean. I wouldnt stay there again.

Thank you for your review. Firstly apologies about the dog mess in the beer garden. We try very hard to keep on top of it but many dogs come to the pub each day and some owners just don't clean up after their pets. I have instructed all members of staff to be very vigilant about checking the area and... More

We stayed one night Sat/Sun. Great base for walking or touring the dales. Room clean, bright and airy despite a very humid day, lovely bed linen, white fluffy towels. En suite was shower, it was perfectly adequate for our needs and clean. Clean and fresh. No natural light in bathroom and heated towel rail but the bedroom had small opening... More

Firstly .. i cant understand why people write such derogatory remarks about such a nice place ... we found the atmosphere to be brilliant .. almost every seat taken each time we eat here .. the food is excellent , the beer is good ..and cold ! , and the staff cannot do enough for you .. i would personally... We've just stayed three nights at The Marton Arms to climb the Three Peaks and explore the Ingleton area. The pub is in a peaceful little village and our room was comfortable and clean. The food was lovely, the beer good and the staff were friendly and helpful. We're planning to come back next year!
