This a pub with rooms rather than a country house hotel. We took over all the rooms everybody was satisfied. Pet friendly ground floor disabled room was spacious with a wetroom bathroom, best shower ever no bath. Freshly cooked food but service pretty hit & miss good portions & quality. Good selection of real ales, very popular pub with the... More

In a lovely position on the south-western edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Thornton is tiny but very close to Ingleton. The church is right opposite the pub and views are of fells and sheep and dry stone walls. The welcome was OK - I'd got very good value on Booking.com at £50 bed only. The decor and carpets are a... People were friendly on arrival. Although it was approx 3:00pm our rooms were still not prepared. We were shown to our room, the first thing that we noticed was the amount of cobwebs and dust caked on the beams. The bathroom had no lock on the door, the shower was filthy and pieces of plastic round the tray were missing... More

Stayed mid week for one night. The place is in a very nice location across the road from the church and first impressions was of a pub with rustic charm. We were not disappointed, the Marton Arms is certainly rustic. Our room was a little dated and possibly in need of a face lift but had everything we needed. The... More

Just had a three night stay at this lovely little country hotel. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and we were made to feel very welcome. Food is lovely especially the steak and ale pie. Staff are very very friendly. Bed comfy and room had everything we needed. Lovely views out of the window. We will be back!

Stayed at the Marton Arms 18 years ago and it was great to go back. The rooms are very comfortable with all the essentials, good central heating and hot power shower. The bar has a great atmosphere and the food is very good. The Full English Breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee good. This is a fabulous place... More

Well we had read some good reviews for this hotel, but our first impressions were terrible, peeling paint work and general dereliction from the car park. Our room was OK, but needed updating and some TLC. It was clean but the beds were cheap and uncomfortable. The staff however were all very good and friendly, the food was fine and... More

We were staying in Ingleton for a short easter break and decided to visit for dinner on the Tuesday evening. Although very quiet with no other diners at the time, we were not disappointed. The barman Chris was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the chips were the best ever! Reasonable prices too!

Overall it was really good. The caravan was spacious and comfortable, would have liked to have had nets at the windows rather than just curtains for some privacy, also the upholstery and living area carpets could do with a thorough wash or to be replaced- there was a distinct dog smell which was not very pleasant. The camp site was... More
