A very friendly welcome from Phil & Carolyn. The Guest House is in an excellent location, just a short walk from the village. The rooms are well decorated to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is well cooked and sets you up for the day, exploring the local area. Great value for money. I have no hesitation in recommending... More

Stayed one night beginning of August. Arrived just before 2pm and despite check in only being from 3pm the hosts were very accommodating and we received a warm welcome. Our room was very cosy and comfortable with a spotless ensuite shower room. Located just a few minutes walk from the village centre and waterfalls walk there is ample free roadside... More

This guest house was perfectly adequate for our needs - clean and warm. Ideal for a walking weekend and close to the Village Centre. It is not luxurious and I suppose would not claim to be. It met our expectations but did not exceed.

We would like to thank Carolyn and Phil for their generosity and their excellent hospitality. We stayed in the Wharfedale room which was the small room with an ensuite shower and this was absolutely immaculate upon arrival as well as the next day. The room could not have been more perfect. We then looked around the area for somewhere to... More

After a long day walking, three of us arrived at Inglenook and were warmly welcomed by Carolyn. I was given a lovely west facing double bedroom with en-suite facilities and my friends got a twin room which they said was excellent. Both Carolyn and Phil were interested in our walking trip and chatted about it with us after breakfast. Great... More

A warm welcome by Carolyn & Phil with tea or coffee and homemade cake. Clean, warm, comfortable room overlooking the river Greta. An excellent breakfast menu to suit everyone - delicious - and we all had a small chocolate egg awaiting us - nice touch - it was Easter! Situated in an extremely attractive area with choice of nearby places... More

It was lovely to meet you both and thank you for the glowing review. We try hard to make people feel at ease and we enjoy chatting and giving information about the beautiful Dales. We look forward to seeing you again later in the year. More

We spent Easter at Inglenook and as always Carolyn and Phil were the perfect hosts. Our room was lovely with plenty of space and refreshments - we have the same room each time we visit and we have been visiting Inglenook since it opened 19 years ago. We cannot fault it in any way - our hosts are lovely as... More

It was lovely to see you both again and have a catch up and a laugh together. This really is a great job when we have guests returning and can get to know them. See you later in the year, we will try and have the Wensleydale Room available. More

Were warmly greeted and shown to our clean but small twin bedded room with our bathroom across the corridor, not en-suite. All very clean and warm with a good breakfast. A small walk from the centre. For cyclist their is no secure under cover storage. Our bikes were left at the back of the property easily accessible from the front.... More

Thank you for your kind comments, we are pleased that you found everything clean and fresh and that you enjoyed your breakfast. We are also pleased to know you made it home safely in such terrible weather. As for your points about en-suite and cycle store, we note that the room was actually booked by someone else on your behalf.... More

We had a very pleasant stay at the Inglenook Guest house. We were welcomed into the premises by Carolyn & Phil with hot drinks and homemade cake which was delicious. Thank you for your many kind comments. We try to make people very welcome and feel that they are staying in our home. To redress some of your issues, the shower has been replaced, the bedding and curtains changed to cream and silver which has " lightened" the room. It is now the industry standard to only change towels on... More
