We stayed here for three nights during 2014 February half term and have recommended it to friends and family. Tim and Gloria were excellent hosts who were discreet but there if needed. They offered to lend us a thermos flask to take on walks and shared their excellent knowledge of the area readily. On the first morning we were the... More

My and my girlfriend stayed there last night. We were met by Gloria who gave us a tour of the house and to our bedroom. The room we were given was gorgeous, presentation-wise. Bed was extremely comfy. In the morning, we were greeted by Tim and Gloria who made us an amazingly good cooked breakfast (there were other options on... More

A warm welcome whatever the weather is assured from Tim & Gloria at this excellent Guest House. This was our third stay at The Pines and our second stay over a New Year period. The accommodation was spotless and the food choices excellent. Tim & Gloria are always available but discreet in their presence. We organised a group of twelve... More

Having spent New Year at The Pines last year we were looking forward to the return trip and were not disappointed. Just as last year the food was excellent, the rooms warm, comfortable and spotless. The roaring fire in the lounge kept us all toasty and was very cheerful as a contrast to the typical New Year weather. Our hosts... More

From the start of our visit to the end, our party of 12 friends had a first rate experience at this hotel! Our room was comfortable (didn't want to get out of the comfy bed), warm and cosy. Everywhere was spotless! Generous supply of tea and coffee in room and gorgeous view from the little window seat, over the fields!... More

This was our first visit to the Pines Country House and we were not disappointed, the accommodation was both spotless and comfortable. The food was excellent with a very good menu to choose from. Credit must go to the hosts Tim & Gloria who made our Christmas break a very enjoyable experience. We will be back in the summer as... More

We stayed here for only one night but would like to have stayed longer. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. There was a choice of three meals and the food we chose was wonderful, both at the evening meal and breakfast. We received a very warm welcome and spent the evening in front of a lovely... More
