Visited the Station Inn for lunch on Wednesday and discovered the resturant and bar had been swapped over since our last visit, and looks better for it. Not many patrons in whilst we were there but the beer was enjoyable and the beef baguette good too.

stayed here recently whilst on Dales Way walk. The rooms are a little dates but the place has so much charm, fabulous beers, amazing huge menu, great food and really friendly staff that it was lovely to stay here. Would def go again no question of it!!!

Walking the Dales Way, hubby say book a room, was a bit bothered when reading the reviews. Arrived and went to bedroom no 8, overlooking the Viaduct, very pleased, bedroom had enough room, en-suite looked new, had a shower, was clean, bit small but was not a problem to us, Being at the back of hotel, no problems with noise,... I have been visiting this isolated Inn twice a year for 14 years now. I take friends there on a train trip out, as I am sure many people do, to see the Ribblehead Viaduct. The Inn is the only place from where to buy drinks and food from. Yesterday showed no improvements have been made. The ale was not... More

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar area is very tired. The evening meal was good, however breakfast was very chaotic. Breakfast didn't start till 8:30 and at that time there were at least 10 people all hoping to get their breakfast and set off for the day and the 'help yourself buffet' bit wasn't ready.

It must be a barman's nightmare... 12 thirsty walkers arriving at once and wanting to be served quickly and already having a queue at the bar and the phone ringing. The lone barman coped well and we were not waiting too long. Various hot and cold drinks were produced and the beer was good. Comfortable seating in a pleasant atmosphere.... More

Stayed recently at the Station Inn after walking on Whernside. In fairness the room i had was a double and was very clean and tidy. Facing the road you were aware of tyre noise as cars went over the cattle grid but you are in the Dales.................sheep, cattle grids, cars.....its all part of the outing.!! My two gripes were the... More

We booked the bunk barn (sleeps 10) for two nights as we were doing the Yorkshire Three Peaks and its right on the doorstep of Whernside so meant we could start/ end at our accommodation. As the time came closer we had a quick look at Trip Advisor which had a number of poor reviews and pictures that worried some... More

We walked an extra few miles to stay here and it was worth every step. Superb location with views in all directions. Nice room and great facilities for the price. Varied menu all beautifully prepared at reasonable prices. Great beer and the nicest staff. They even offered to drive us back to the Dales Way on the morning. Terrific place... More
