We went on a Tuesday night and it was quiet busy, the food starts serving at 6.00. We ordered a main course and it arrived about 20mins later. The food was excellent but we couldn't manage a sweet. The barman was working hard serving food and running the bar, which amused us as when food is ready in the kitchen a... More

We stayed at the Station Inn at the end of our third day walking the Dales Way, requiring a 1.5 mile each way detour of road walking, but with great views of Ribblehead Viaduct, Inglebrough and Whernside. Evening meal and beers were good. Staff were also helpful. However, at £80 room 5 was disappointing - dated is an understatement; the... More

On the third day of walking the Dales way we arrived tired and wet and filthy after falling into a bog on Cam Head. The first thing we were offered was to bring our mucky clothes down to have them washed and dried for us... Magic! Our room however was dismal and dingy very poor. The food on the other... More

Thankyou for the compliments concerning the service you received and quality of food during your'e stay.As for the quality of rooms,Iam assuming you were the couple in the twin room 6.This Iagree is the smallest room in the b&b,but I totally disagree it is either dingy or shabby. The building is a listed building circa 1874 so we are very limited... We stayed here for 2 nights, in room 3 (the Wainwright room). When we set off from right down South, the sat nav said we would get there by 630pm so plenty of time to chill & have dinner. Not so lucky, many accidents along the way so didn't arrive until 8.45pm. As we didn't want to eat overpriced service... More

We stayed one night whilst walking The Dales Way. The least good of the six places we stayed. Great pub with good beers and ciders and the food, whilst 'pub grub', was priced accordingly and tasty. The room was also comfortable with a good bathroom and a nice view of the viaduct. BUT several 'mortal sins': tasteless catering sausages for... More

Two miles off the Dalesway. Be careful, I phoned for directions and was told to walk two miles in the wrong direction. Not a good start. Then was given room 3. But there isn't a room 3. After checking we found our room. But it was not great. Nothing special. Clean but rough. The food however was good. Honest homemade... More

This Inn has a captive market as it is the only accomodation at Ribblehead. Room was adequate although the TV needed a lot of tweaking to make it work. Quality of accommodation was variable, room not too bad but other parts of the Inn needing a good clean and makeover. The girl behind the bar was sullen and unhelpful and... More

What DO people expect when staying at The Station Inn? I stayed in one of the bunk barn rooms with 4 work colleagues overnight 11/7/15. We had lunch, dinner & breakfast. The food was fantastic for pub cooked food. Talked to a motorhome camper who had also had dined on the same night as us who said that he had... More

I have visited two establishments providing lodgings as a visitor this month, The Station and HMP Full Sutton. I was told by several inmates in the prison that their rooms whilst basic are safe, comfortable, clean and warm. The staff there are always polite but are obsessed with routine and security, the food is well prepared although lacking in variety... More
