We arrived here after a long walk and were greeted with real friendliness despite the pub being incredibly busy. I would agree that the rooms are 'tired' but the linen was fresh and the beds comfortable. Our meals both in the evening and at breakfast were well cooked and tasty (we particularly recommend the dessert menu!) What the decor may... More

Reviews promised a cosy bar with a roaring open fire. Just what we wanted after a walk in the cold, True, it was only a short walk and not entirely in need of a roaring fire but there was neither anyway. Floor/carpets very worn, tables were decidedly sticky. Whole atmosphere a bit 'rough' including the staff who looked like they... More

A real walkers pub. Warm, friendly and not going to frown at your muddy boots. Generous portions of proper food. Good beer. Lovely porridge. Clean comfortable room with decent shower. Spent a night here as we walked the Dales Way and would happily return. Not smart but right for its niche.

After a long morning driving in the dales and looking at the animals (sheep) close up. Me, my husband and son went for a rest at the station inn and decided to have some food. Some staff at some pubs can be abit put off a 18month child coming in to a pub (my son has just discovered his voice).... More

My word this could be an amazing place. It's a place of contradictions. From the outside it looks quite nice, from the car park it's a tip. In fact, we nearly turned back and there is so much tat lying around the place. The garden is huge and has an amazing view of Ribblehead Viaduct but they have very old... More

No, the Station Inn isn't a boutique hotel, it's a great place for a drink and a meal, and even a bed for the night after a day in the hills. It's not luxury but it does what it says on the tin - it's an inn right next to the station. So perfect for walkers or visitors to the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful food after a long walk. Bangers and mash and homemade steak pie both with perfectly cooked vegetables. The puddings sound wonderful but the portions in the main course left little room. Next time maybe. Wonderful atmosphere. Very welcoming. And of course there is the loo with the view. Would recommend.

My name is Jonathan and I have to say Staying at the station inn is always a pleasure and have also spent numerous happy hours there for a beer in a very warm and welcoming inn. The food rivals the very best in taste, quality and value and would strongly recommend anyone includes them in a must visit place. Thank... More

Visited in early February with a group of very healthy people (I am not). Had booked the Bunk Barn as am used to some kind of basic accommodation being a camper. However on first sight was very unimpressed with the quality of the barn and asked for an upgrade to the B&B (lets put it this way my job is... More

Just booked a second stay at the Station Inn for June as family are doing the 3 peaks challenge again. Stayed for one night in October 14 and had the room with the waterbed. Had the best nights sleep in years. Suffer from a bad back and cannot believe how great and pain free I felt the next morning. Managed... More
