A warm welcome and treats for the dog. Free parking for our campervan and use of the bunk house toilet was an unexpected boon. Unfortunately we arrived late after the kitchen had closed so could not try the food. The two chefs made us welcome at the bar. We will return.

We walked the Dales Way and arrived very wet and tired. Our bedroom was comfortable and the shower was very good. The staff very friendly, the beer very good, the locals chatty, and the meal choices were good. What we ate was enjoyable, we slept well, with a view of the viaduct and the cloud covered hills from our window,... More

Came to visit on the 21st August in the evening to stay for a few nights. Walked into the pub to a friendly welcome from the staff. Plenty of meals to choose from and drinks to choose from. Food service excellent. Cooked to order and cooked fresh by 2 well experienced chefs.

Stayed at the Station on Saturday 22nd August. We were made to feel welcome from the moment that we walked through the door. The bar staff helped us to check in and we were shown to our room as soon as we arrived. Had a great value meal on the evening and enjoyed a few drinks in the bar. All... More

1.5 miles off the Dales Way path and no other accommodation, this was the only place to stay. We were in room 6 which was extremely small, but thought for one night we could cope. However, the shower room was dismal. The shower wasn't draining away, so had to keep turning it off. Also the extractor fan wasn't working. We... More

Dear Pennine16, I have tried on 4 seperate occasions to ring you regarding the issue of the billAfter exhaustive investigation including staff interviews historical till inspection and stock interim read Ican only conclude that the drinks concerned were in fact procured. We would normally as a matter of course recommend all guests to check their bills on departure ,so any discrepancies... 7 of us called in here for a drink during the 3 peaks walk. This place is in a great location but if you are expecting a warm welcome after 10 miles then try the burger van instead. This place has a captive audience of passing walkers and visitors to the viaduct and it shows. Maybe that's why it is... More

Dear John of Newcastle, I would like to comment on your,e comments but as you give me no information to work with just insults and the highly intelligent observation of "terrible place",I feel J.B Priestley would be hard pushed to make constructive progress.Inote you are a level 1 contributer with other comments coming in at 1xpoor 2xawful observers observe!!!!!!!!! We were here for the second time this year as we completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. Like our first visit we started the day with great rolls of bacon and sausage with lashings of coffee and tea. At the end of our walk we enjoyed the local beer and 4 of us stayed on for an early evening meal. Ideal... More

2nd visit whilst walking in the area. Have only used the bar etc. A bit "tired" in places but both times we've had a warm welcome and the staff have been very accommodating. Great selection of beers, good wholesome food , no-frills surroundings . This place is just right for putting your feet up after a tough 3 peaks. A... More

I have visited this place many times over the last eight years or so and can honestly say witnessed a sad and stinking decline. Nowhere else in the Yorkshire dales to my knowledge is there a pub in this state except the Cavendish in Keighley. Everything about it is bad from the staff to the stench. The best way to... More

We stayed in one of the bunk barns at the Station Inn in Ribbleshead. A bunk barn, and we have stayed in many, is expected to be basic. However, this was just vile. One bed was still unmade, not having been cleaned or changed since someone got out of it (presumably that morning). The toilet and shower hadn't been cleaned... More

Dear North London no more. I wish to appologise for not being of our usual high standards, but at the risk of being a bore I must fully explain the circumstances. As you correctly gathered our head chef had left in the middle of the night for no apparent reason. What he did do however was to leave us with a party of...
