Stayed here for two night last week. Check inn took a while for some to see to use. Asked whilst checking in what time breakfast started. When we came for breakfast in the morning we were informed the we have just missed it. staff we alittle rude at time as if they didn't really have time for you. Had tea... More

We stayed a night at The Station Inn while walking in The Yorkshire Dales. A definitely mixed experience. Several staff members seemed uninterested and demotivated. Avoided eyecontact and didn't care to smile. We arrived 5-ish in afternoon, quite exhausted after climbing to the top of Ingleborough in strong wind. Took a while to sort out our booking, even though we... More

Charming and busy place just at the foot of the hill from Ribblehead Station. Although we had booked ahead to order bacon rolls and coffee we didn't expect the the substantial bacon with sausage rolls that came with pots of piping hot coffee. The food menu looked very interesting with just the range to satisfy the hikers and walkers who... More

We recently visited the Station Inn at Ribblehead Viaduct, set in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales. We were met with a very warm welcome and enjoyed a fantastic meal of the station steak pie, chunky chips and fresh veg. In fact we considered it the best we had tasted. The pub was very busy with a party of... More

Stopped in the Bunk barn with friends while completing the Yorkshire three peaks for charity. The bunk house was basic but perfect for what we needed. It was warm ( even though the weather conditions were horrendous) and the beds were comfortable. The weather conditions ment we were around an hour late in getting back on the evening and some... What a truly wonderful walkers delight, it provided just what you need after a hearty walk around the three peaks. I joined several friends who tackled the 3 peaks in aid of Chellow High charity. Total of 10 people walked, the weather was miserable, a lot of mist and wind. But the pub had array of hot meals, namely steak... More

We stopped here for an evening having been out on our bicycles all day and were camping elsewhere. We sampled a couple of the guest beers at the bar and enjoyed the warm fire and friendly atmosphere. There was an array of different types of food available and the menu and seating for the "posh" food looked and sounded very... More

We arrived here after a long walk and were greeted with real friendliness despite the pub being incredibly busy. I would agree that the rooms are 'tired' but the linen was fresh and the beds comfortable. Our meals both in the evening and at breakfast were well cooked and tasty (we particularly recommend the dessert menu!) What the decor may... More

Reviews promised a cosy bar with a roaring open fire. Just what we wanted after a walk in the cold, True, it was only a short walk and not entirely in need of a roaring fire but there was neither anyway. Floor/carpets very worn, tables were decidedly sticky. Whole atmosphere a bit 'rough' including the staff who looked like they... More

A real walkers pub. Warm, friendly and not going to frown at your muddy boots. Generous portions of proper food. Good beer. Lovely porridge. Clean comfortable room with decent shower. Spent a night here as we walked the Dales Way and would happily return. Not smart but right for its niche.
