We booked to stay here at short notice with our 2 dogs. Nigel was very accomodating with our booking. Room clean, excellent shower. Tremendous breakfast. Don't expect frills. But if you want a comfy and functional room, good food and beer this is ideal. Will be visiting again if we are back in the area.

Over the 2014 Easter Weekend we visited the Craven Heifer twice for food & drinks. On our 1st visit (Good Friday) their was 4 of us, 2 had the 14oz Gammon and the other 2 had the Haddock in Crispy Batter, as usual the food was of a High standard and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The 2nd... More

Hello to all. I couldn't stand this place and would not recommend in to anyone. We arrived at around 18:00 and there looked to be a good variety of food on the menu; I chose the lamb shank and this tasted awful, microwaved and was of a POOR quality. The manager's were arrogant and unsociable with the customers, I live... More

Hi thanks for your review firstly can I say that we do not microwave our food it is freshly cooked, if there was dog excrement in the garden it was from a customers dog which we have no control over and it would have been picked up if somebody had mentioned it. If you found a hair in your food... More

The Craven Heifer was recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint, we was given a very warm and friendly welcome when arriving, we hadn't booked a table for a saturday night but was soon accommodated with no trouble at all. We ordered the lasagne, lamb shank and a double burger and the food came out very quick, very hot and... More

I stayed overnight at the Craven Heifer to attend a vintage car show at Clapham. From the moment I walked through the door the welcome was first class. I had one lunch, one breakfast and one evening meal and the food was superb. I have no hesitation in recommending the Craven Heifer,

We came across Ingleton on our way back from Windermere. We were all hungry, 3 of us, and after giving the thumbs down to another Ingleton hostelry, we turned back to The Craven Heifer Inn. We received such a warm welcome from the young lady behind the bar, Sat teatime, that we felt immediately that we would eat here and... More

Sometimes after a day in the hills you just want a filling plateful of simple pub food and this pub does that really well. Ingleton is not a great place for more stylish pubs or eateries but of all the place I've eaten in here, this pub felt the least chain-like. The service was very friendly and included table service... More
