Not having been here before although the organiser of our shoot group had stayed on more than one occasion in the past, so it came recommended. The rooms were very comfortable (recently redecorated), we had to move rooms for 2nd night, no problem at all so we experienced a double room with nice size bathroom (with bath mmm) and a... More

Had lunch there today. Over priced fish and chips. White chips, soggy wet fish , mushy peas and some inedible tartare sauce. Will give it a miss next time. Lovely fish shop round the corner. Will go there.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights with our dog. We had a nice welcome when we arrived and were shown to our room. The room was very nice, spotlessly clean and well decorated. We had everything we needed in the room and spent 2 comfortable nights there. We ate in the bar both nights and our meals were... More

Stayed in Ingleton during half term. Had read good reviews for the The Wheatsheaf so it was our first port of call on arrival. There was a very warm welcome and the waitress found us a table no problem. We shared a very generous Nacho starter then had Gammon for mains, both courses very good, ample portions but struggled to... More

Hi Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review Your review is really good for us as it is very detailed and informative which enables us to review any training gaps with service. Staff were very rude when serving at the bar. Ordered nachos which took 1 hour to come with no warning or apology of delay. Very poor customer service. We went in for a charity trip and stopped by for a drink and a small bite to eat. You'd think they'd be grateful for the service but one barmaid in particular... More

Its such a shame this review is mainly negative as we had a good couple of nights just visiting for a drink. Atmosphere is very good. We decided to visit here for food, despite some reviews in the visitor book in our cottage telling us not to bother. We like to make our own minds up. We waited for 55... More

We stayed here for two nights in August. We had previously stayed in June.Prior to this we have visited the Wheatsheaf many times after walking in the area and have found it to be the most welcoming and genuine local in Ingleton. The food is typical pub grub, good quality and nothing fancy. On this visit we stayed in the Hawthorn room and...
