Stayed in Ingleton for a mini break and was lucky to be staying in a cottage right next to The Wheatsheaf Inn. Based on a recommendation from the cottage Visitor information folder we decided to try a family meal. The menu was typical country pub fare at reasonable prices. 3 adult meals all top quality. The fish and chips were... More

We have been going to the Wheatsheaf for over 10 years so it is sad that my review is so negative. It was my birthday weekend ~ luckily staying elsewhere in the village ~ but we decided to have dinner here last Sunday. The food was just about OK but my gripe is with the service ~ a waitress who... Booked the superior room for 2 night for girlfriends birthday. Got to hotel at 4pm. 1 girl serving in pub run off her feet completely. When she finally came to see to us, she could Not find Booking. Then she took us to the room, it was not cleaned from last visitor. Nearly all the other rooms were vacant, open... More

Our room was very comfortable, brightly decorated, nicely furnished and had a four poster bed. The en-suite bathroom was lovely and light, with new bathroom fittings. In the morning we had the vegetarian breakfast which was very good and plentiful. Would certainly stay again.

You get what you pay for really. Room was fair, food fair, price fair. The three things that bothered me we're 1 - no cold water from bathroom tap. 2 - hot tap was like a industrial boiling water jet washer. 3 - Asked for a night cap to take to our room at 11:05 after getting back from the... After walking the waterfalls trail we wanted a quick lunch and this pub provided us with our best lunch of the week. Burgers, chips and a great side salad. Friendly staff (James) and dogs made welcome. Great place.

Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend when taking part in the 3 Peaks challenge. Great B&B with friendly staff and great atmosphere. Ate here both nights and would recommend the Pork special which was just what the doctor ordered as my post challenge meal. Reasonably priced and a great service all round. Staff accommodated an early breakfast for... More
