This is a lovely hotel. Three nights d,b&b for a reasonable price, executive double room overlooking the heated swimming pool; two comfortable armchairs and a table and chairs for eating, excellent bathroom and bed. The service is both charming and efficient and the food is excellent. Did not use the spa but it is clearly very popular. Definitely a place... More

We stayed one night in room 17. Cosy enough but a very poor shower. Also wifi did not reach that far. But the main problem was the restaurant. I tried the "Scarborough woof" which was a raw fish starter. Having never heard of 'woof' ( rock salmon as it turns out) and liking ceviche or tuna carpaccio I decided to... More

This hotel has had a fortune spent on it and to a very high standard, perhaps the finest bedroom we had come across in a long time. The staff are the most pleasant we have come across in years and the breakfast is first class apart from one morning when a small child was being fed from the pap and... More

My husband booked this for me and himself to have time together, it was booked in December, the main reason for booking was because it used Elemis products in the Spa and this was my favourite. The Lady on reception was great and we had a great welcome, the car was parked for us and we were checked into our... More

The location is ideal and the staff friendly and helpful but the price (around £350 per night for dinner B&B) raised expectations which weren't met. Our room (36) was spacious enough but felt tired, had the occasional whiff of tobacco smoke and a bathroom in need of modernisation. The food wasn't as good as the prices might suggest and the... Hotel nice and friendly but rooms are tired and the finish leaves a lot to be desired, we stayed in room 14. Restaurant is attempting to be in the same class as Le Manoir and The Waterside Inn but falls a long way short, wine list is good but they didn't have the bottle that I chose. Our break included... First class hotel with beautiful heated outdoor pool and relaxing terraces. Spa treatment with Natalie was soooo! Relaxing. The staff are all amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We were made very welcome in an unfussy but quiet and professional manner. Will definitely be back.

I booked this as a treat for our Silver Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived there was very little parking but as we approached the reception, it was clear that they had valet parking. The young lady on reception was very efficient and helpful and we were upgraded for free into a junior suite (many thanks for that). We went for... More

We stayed here on 19th July and the weather was beautiful. The room was lovely and different with a quirky feel. The service was exceptional with lovely staff, who were so friendly. It was fantastic to sit outside sun bathing in the summer sun, swim and sip iced tea. I had the most amazing facial, which was most relaxing. There... More

Recently stayed here with my daughter, we arrived before the room was ready and wandered around Helmsley which was delightful. We checked into our rooms which were fantastic, huge bathroom, lovely twin bedroom and a lounge area with balconies overlooking the pool. The outdoor pool was surrounded by loungers and we were lucky enough to there on a beautiful sunny... More
