Really enjoyed our overnight there. Room was spacious, comfortable and adequately furnished. Soft furnishings were good quality too. Will return. Had lunch there and a heart breakfast. Small and friendly.

At last!! We found a dog friendly place in this pretty little market town. Cosy little place, very friendly welcome from the landlady Rachel (?). Nice beer, comfortable and welcoming. What more could you want?!! There was plenty on the menu too-just wish we'd been able to stick around and find out! Recommended :-)

During a long weekend of mountain biking around North Yorkshire we made the Royal Oak our most frequented pub. Really enjoyed the hand pulled ales and the staff were really friendly, making us feel very welcome.
