Enjoyable 2 night stay. Stayed in Room 4 in the newer part of the building at the back. Good clean warm room with comfortable bed, good tv and Galaxy hot chocolate included with tea/coffee.Fine shower too. Breakfast was the normal fare and good quality especially the bacon. Ate in the evening both nights and the food was good as was... More

We stayed for two nights in order to visit family and friends in the area. We normally stay in and around Reeth but just fancied a change. The welcome was warm as was the hotel. Emily showed us to our room which had a four poster bed and a wonderful view from it! The room was warm, cosy, very clean... More

This is a fantastic little inn in a peaceful village. All of the staff are extremely friendly and make you feel really welcome. The room was lovely, spacious and very warm. The food is excellent too with a good choice of local produce. This was our second visit and it won't be our last. I would highly recommend the Wheatsheaf.

What a wonderful place tucked within the beautiful hills of the dales. Cosy setting, log burner, great food, lovely staff and cosy room. Great value as a budget hotel. Amazing location for walking and a pint isn't far away on your return. Would definitely recommend this place. Country chic at its best.

Just spent a weekend away at this delightful pub. Not far from Leyburn, Bolton Castle and Ayrsgarth Falls. Very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent and the the Black Sheep ale was superb. Room was comfortable and pleasant. Dog friendly so your pet can have a break too!

Booked a one night stay on our way to the east coast. It's setting is really lovely. Parts of the actual pub are cosy and traditional and just what you'd expect. Our room was ok but the bathroom was REALLY scruffy; dated, worn, not terribly clean. Dinner was priced substantially higher than its quality deserved. One of our staters, chicken... More

just got back from a 2 night stay at The Wheatsheaf. We have had a lovely stay. Straight from the welcome we had when we arrived to the end of our stay, all the staff have been very helpful and friendly. We had room number 7. A four poster bed right above the bar with views across to the hills... More

Stayed here as a wee getaway for the wife's birthday. The welcome from the hotel staff was like the roaring coal fire in the pub, warm and inviting. The Wheatsheaf is an olde world style hotel, located in Carpberry, and idyllic setting in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales. it's the ideal location if you like walking, and if you... More

Stayed at The Wheatsheaf for 2 nights mid January as a little getaway for my birthday with my other half. We had a room at the front with a double four poster bed and en-suite bathroom. The bed was extremely cosy and comfy and the room very clean and simply decorated. The village itself is a remote, idyllic and out... More
