We booked this hotel after emphasising please make sure our bed linens are clean, after numerous previous rooms with a hotel stay were! We booked in yesterday checked our bed and omg it was disgusting!! Yellow badly stained pillows!! We spoke to management. They apologised but considering we'd already said please Make sure our room is clean it wasn't! We... More

Check in was very efficient and friendly and was able to book in over an hour early. Great value for money at £39 per night which was an autumn promotion. Room clean and comfortable. Great coffee facilities in the bar area and its help yourself and best of all complimentary! Will defiently return. Overal a great visit and would recommend.

Its a real shame that such a fantastic venue ( which is why I chose it) could be so badly managed. The staff were very friendly but layout of the whole place is just crazy. For example the the main house which is the one you see in all the promotional pictures is not actually used. Unbelievably it is used... More

There was a queue at reception when I arrived whilst one of the receptionists sorted out a double booking by moving the frustrated guests to the Marriott. When my turn came the receptionist struggled with her computer "I'm so sorry , sir". I eventually got my key, went to the room and let myself in to find a lady already... More

What a difference 7 months makes! The improvements to this hotel since my last visit in March are amazing. Lots of little things: refurbished toilets, happy smiley staff. The new head chef has made the restaurant much more inviting and the front of house staff are far more attentive. The food was lovely and the choice much better than before.... More

We held our daughters wedding in Theobalds Park Mansion on 11th October and this really is a superb venue. We had the whole mansion for the entire weekend and our guests stayed in the bedrooms allocated in the same building. We even had our own breakfast room for the Sunday morning for the whole bridal party. The mansion is beautiful... More

I haven't stayed here - but use it regularly to run training courses. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is excellent and food always very good. There is always tea, coffee and biscuits available in the bar area during the daytime.

Enjoyed my second stay. Nice location with easy access to London. The staff were nice. My only complaint is I think the breakfast is poor and I honestly don't think asking if the chef would do you a soft boiled egg should be a problem. Also the porridge took 20 minutes and was awful. But that is all I can... More

Classic country style mansion from the outside however on the inside worse for wear, I booked a single room and it was an old fashioned single, no bedside table, flat screen TV with poor reception, bedroom light switch by the door nowhere near the bed, windows not double glazed and not sealed and no views overlooking a flat roof, Lots...
