We had a 3 night stay at the Acorn Inn for a short walking holiday with our 2 dogs. We were so impressed. The pub/hotel is delightful, the rooms charming, the service is outstanding and the food in the restaurant superb. We could not have asked for more. Alex and Jack and their team did everything in their power to... More

Travelling through Ireland and the UK for several weeks and resting each night at another place we found the Acorn Inn. After travelling the whole day we enjoyed a friendly and very polite welcome by the staff. In a wonderful and lovely room -missing nothing vou need for recreating- we stayed for one calm night. An excellent dinner in a... More

We are here for a friends wedding and had dinner at the acorn inn. Both my wife and I had great meals. The wine was amazing and very reasonable priced compared to other fancy pubs. Would highly recommend the place and love the restaurant bar area with tradition leather chairs. The owner of red carnations has great classical taste and... More

We had a table for eight for dinner to celebrate a family birthday. Not living in the area but having visited here three or four times over the last ten years I can say that the service is still wonderful, the food fantastic and atmosphere just right. Its only quite a small restaurant but absolutely brilliant, the wine is very... More

A very warm welcome. Hotel was cosy and spotlessly clean with homemade shortbread as part of the refreshment tray in the room. All of the staff were so friendly and yet most professional. Every aspect of the service and food were excellent. I found the hotel very relaxing, certainly an excellent place to unwind and forget your troubles. Would love... More

We had a 3 day visit and could not have been more pleased with the cozy town, beautiful hotel, friendly people and excellent accommodations and help from the staff at The Acorn Inn. We wouldn't think of staying at any other place. It is just a few doors down from Tess Cottage! It is on a route mentioned over and... More

We had a wonderful Golden Wedding weekend at this superb inn in the Hardy country. There were sixteen family members, including eight grandchildren. All of them thought this was a memorable experience. The care and friendliness of Alex, Jack and the staff were all we could have hoped for, making this a really special occasion. S & C

Just stayed at an absolute gem of a hotel. We have been super impressed with the hospitality and kindness of all the staff. Nothing was too much for them. They specially ordered soya milk for my husband and my 5 year old was spoilt rotten! And the food.. Amazing. Everything they made was beautifully cooked and presented. Can't fault this... More

We had a wonderful time and felt very welcomed at The Acorn Inn. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It made for an even better experience beyond the ambiance of the hotel. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very good in the restaurant. In the evenings, we also sat in the pub, had some... More
