Loved this place. We stayed in the Bay Suite - beautiful! Lovely great big windows with a sea view. Large and spacious room with a fridge TV, four poster, dressing gowns, jacuzzi bath. I found it very good value for the room we stayed in. Extremely clean. Nice touches in room i.e things to do around Devon, hot choc, welcome... More

Small very friendly hotel with staff who can't do enough for you. Room 10 was compact with a bathroom almost as large as the bedroom but nevertheless all was clean and comfortable. The tasty breakfast was served promptly and there seemed to be more competent kitchen staff than diners, again a friendly atmosphere with staff who were courteous, amiable, personable... More

Popped into the Bay Hotel for lunch on our way to a local wedding. Really helpful staff, a good lunch at a very reasonable price, with friendly service. All in all an excellent experience. Can't comment on accommodation because we were only passing through.

I stayed at the Bay on Monday for one night , the hotel is situated close to the sea and an amusement park, parking is available. The guy on reception was very helpful. I was shown to room 10A and managed to squeeze in as the room is VERY small with a single bed , tea making facilities and en... More

The hotel was lovely, clean, and warm. Micky and Shirley the owners and Alan the bar man made us feel very welcome. How they put up with my drunkenness is beyond me. Lol. Geoff the chef was great and he made me laugh so much. I asked for a sirloin steak on both nights and they came out perfect. Mmmmmm. Just don't... More

Nicely old hotel which is being restored. . Lovely food, good chef. The bartender was a nice elderly gentleman of 84 years. He had a fine sense of humor. The hotel is located right next to the beached promenade and not far to the center.

Arrived around 2pm on Sat 20th to see if we could check in, greeted by the receptionist who then found the owner who had to check our room to make sure it had been cleaned, she introduced herself and we were handed the room key. We paid our bill and was told there was no ink so can they get... More

I am sorry and saddened to see this horrible review, not just for myself nor for the Bay Hotel itself, but for my hard working staff who have worked their socks off to make The Bay what it is today a clean, friendly, nothing is to much trouble hotel. Since Nov 2014 the hotel has under gone a transformation under... More

I used this hotel as my sister and nephew visited at the same time as my other sister and didn't have enough spare beds. So information in this review is from them. It is now painted blue on the outside, which perfectly compliments the summer sky that was in view when my family visited. It has lovely views over The... More
