Great turn around since last year. Now as resturant and bar food availble all day. Bathrooms now tip-top order. Standards much improved than last year. Well done to the owner for her professional attitude now taken. The staff are friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them to accomadate guest. The location is excellent right on sea front. We found the lovely pubs and restaurants on the harbor but they were all full as it was a lovely sunny Easter Sunday. Our party of 4 adults and 3 children were... More

This is a small hotel close to the seafront in the small town of Teignmouth. Everything is within easy walking distance. The room was clean and warm, with a big bay window which had a (distant) view of the sea. Very quiet, although it is near a children's play area so I guess might get noisier in summer. The staff... What an utter disappointment, we had stayed here a couple of years ago and it was really nice, but since its change of ownership it was terrible, words fail me just what to say, I guess that why it was empty when we pop in for a meal, which we didn't have as they didn't have a chef anymore? the... Carpets stained. Broken dirty furniture.mouldy shower head & hose. Mould around bath. Dirty light fittings. When I raised my concerns I was told it was not the Ritz!!! My concerns were just a minor cleaning issue.!!! Offered 3 nignts for 2 next year, why we would want to visit this hotel again is hard to believe
