Found this at short notice. Very happy with price and service. Room and shower excelllent. Food amazing for price, very good quality. Sarah was very friendly and easy to talk to. Will definately come back and highly recommend to anyone staying in or near Teignmouth. Good location for shops, pubs and beach etc. Terry and Chris Meeke.

Of all the places we have stayed in the world this has to be the best B&B and rates as highly as some 5 star hotels in Japan, USA, and most European cities for cleanliness and service. Sarah's breakfasts are absolutely perfect in every way and the best I have experienced anywhere. Rooms are tastefully furnished with perfect details for... More

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast, we stayed three nights for the Jazz Festival. Which is equally worth a visit. We found the accommodation well equipped and furnished, the en-suite was immaculate in design and cleanliness. First class. Being foolhardy I attempted and succeeded on the full breakfast on the first morning. What a delight. I never managed it... More

A spotlessly clean bnb, beautifully presented and ran by the lovely Sarah who makes the most amazing cooked breakfasts ever, I was only going to have one on the first morning but could not help myself every other morning! Local high quality sausages, crispy fried bread, perfectly cooked lean bacon, glowing golden egg, grilled tomato, mushrooms, baked beans.. mmm!! Plus... More

We stayed for a couple of nights and found everything very clean and comfortable - the creaky stairs are a feature of such a lovely old property! Would use again. Only thing I would say is maybe Sarah could provide an oversheet in addition to the duvet, as we found it very hot in the warm weather - probably should... More

Thank You for your lovely review. So sorry about the top sheet - I meant to ask you at breakfast the first morning if you would like one and then forgot! The stairs are creaky as it is the original Georgian staircase. Last summer, when we had so much rain, they hardly creaked at all :)) Thanks again, Sarah More

I was made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The B&B is situated near to a number of good value pubs and restaurants so evening meals are no problem. The room I stayed in was clean and very comfortable with and excellent shower, Breakfast was always of a very high standard and served with a smile. I have no... More

I have stayed in The Old Salty on 4 occasions now over the last few years. I think what it is for me is the consistency of the excellent service over that period, coupled with the attention to detail Sarah gives. The room is always extremely clean, welcoming and comfortable, the quality of the breakfast always great - fresh, good... More

The old salty house B&B is a lovely homely guest house. It's conveniently located near the water front and there's a few bars and restaurants nearby for evening entertainment. Sarah is an awesome hostess, she's friendly, chatty and will answer any questions you may have. Sarah also has a good knowledge of the area, if you want to take any... More

We had a lovely weekend in Teignmouth, staying at old salty house. Sarah is very welcoming and accommodated our changed plans, bicycle and injuries. Breakfast is fresh and tasty and the room we had was quiet, clean and spacious. Great location although go for the back room as the front rooms may be a little too close to the street... More
